26 month old will not eat!!?
My 26 month old is a handful in more than one way. He will not eat much to speak of on his on. He will drink alot, eat chips and nibble on chicken strips but will not sit at the table and eat with us. He is constantly on the move and the only way he eats is if Mom puts him in a high chair and turns on certain shows and feeds him. This is driving us crazy and we don't want him to starve. Any ideas for some help here, groups web site etc? Thanks!

I agree that you should stop giving in to his demands. He should be offered food at your regular meal times and midway between only. Unless he is severely underweight (as diagnosed by his doctor) there is no need to worry that he will starve himself. Meal times are family times. Turn that television OFF. He may not eat well for up to a week; but, he will eat and eventually he will eat well.
He should be offered a variety of foods and by age 2 he should have enough teeth that he can eat most table foods if they are cut small enough and then allow him to use his hands to feed himself. If he is a messy eater just get a shower curtain and spread under the high chair and then you can take the chair and shower curtain outside after meal time and hose them off.

He won't starve. Stop with the nibbling on junk food.
Have three meals and three snack times a day. Offer him healthy nutritious foods. At these times. If he doesn't want to eat, he doesnt have to but he will have to wait until the next meal or snack.
For example 7AM breakfast with diluted juice
9:30 AM snack with milk
12pm lunch with water
3PM snack with milk
5:30 Dinner with diluted juice
7:30 PM snack with milk
Eventually he will get hungry enough to eat. The only thing he should have between meals and snacks is water.
I offer milk with snacks and water or diluted juice with meals but its up to you how to work it out. My son will only drink 4-6 ounces of milk at a time so that's why I offer it 3 times a day. If your child it taking in more than the recommended 16 ounces of milk, he might be filling up on the too much and then not have room for the solid foods he needsTalk to your pediatrician for more advice.
