WHy does my husband keep lying to his ex wife?

What? LOL! Protective custody? Seriously? It sounds like maybe he still has feelings for her and can't bring himself to completely cut those ties. Hope I'm wrong, but it is weird for him to go that far out of his way to make that sort of thing up to stop talking to him.

He definitely isnt over her quite yet and not fully so instead of losing her completely he lies to her to keep her around. I can just imagine how he is going to use this "protective custody" to his advantage to contact her. If you ever get the chance to talk to her without him being around, tell her the truth, not to get rid of her but to show that he is lying to her. Good luck

Bad habits are hard to break . He probably use to lie to her all the time just like he lied to you about keeping in contact with her. for most guys its easier to lie then to go through all the drama with the wife and you know how nagging some woman can be ,

If you control and coerce him into stopping communication it will never work. He has to actually not /want/ to talk to her anymore.

Maybe he is seeing your true colors and is thinking he's made a mistake.
