Is this the action of Proud Americans ?

The ironic thing is that similar messes were made by the people who attended the 'Earth Day' events.

People are people.

"But.. as I drove by the beach today, I notice piles of beer cans and spent fireworks and other trash litter everywhere."

No, and many people here are pigs like this. It's been going on for a long time. Not cleaning up after yourself is low class.

No. Just slobs who are inconsiderate of their environment.

And if you've participated in beach clean ups before, you know that it doesn't take the 4th of July for the slobs to come out and trash a beach.

Unfortunate.

Celebrating a holiday doesn't mean stay out all night and get drunk. fireworks are fine. Many people find a holiday as an excuse of consuming tons of alcohol. Society is kinda getting corrupted. there are so many other things to do other than getting drunk.

This Americans just wanna have fun for a day because all throughout the year they are complaining about poverty, injustice and poor leadership in the government. But to be part of solutions, don't give them that problem. Their part is to waste the place, your part is to put it back in order.

Haven't you ever read a history book? :-) Messing up the environment is time-honored tradition in this country.

Unfortunately most Americans are human and like humans everywhere are relatively unconscious.
