God Has Not Revealed Himself to Me, So He Must Not Exist?
A teacher is using the "scientific method" to teach the class about evolution...
TEACHER: Tommy do you see the tree outside?
TOMMY: Yes.
TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass outside?
TOMMY: Yes.
TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky.
TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the sky.
TEACHER: Did you see God?
TOMMY: No.
TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there. He doesn't exist.
A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions. The teacher agreed and the little girl questioned the boy.
LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the tree outside?
TOMMY: Yes.
LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass outside?
TOMMY: Yessssss (getting tired of the questions this time).
LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky?
TOMMY: Yessssss.
LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the teacher?
TOMMY: Yes
LITTLE GIRL: Do you see the teacher's mind?
TOMMY: No.
LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were taught today in school, she must not have one!

Atheist this is just a joke. You don't have to get all defensive and saying, "Oh this not a logical argument" or "So the boggy monster must exist because you can't see him!"

>>Atheist this is just a joke
No, it's a terribly LAME joke in its construction alone. Not to mention something I've seen posted here hundreds of times. How typical of Christians. The reason I hate most "atheism" jokes is not because I'm an atheist, but because 99% of them are unoriginal and poorly constructed. I hate badly-worded jokes, no matter who they're about.
First of all, a good joke is consistent. This one however starts off with the claim that it's about "A teacher is using the "scientific method" to teach the class about evolution" when in fact neither actually appear in the joke. Second of all, good jokes shouldn't have unnecessary characters brought in. The little girl isn't necessary for the set-up nor the punchline; older versions of the joke keep it much simpler by just having the boy and the teacher.

I believe the burden of proof has already been established with God's creation. Through unbelief and just not wanting to believe that it could be fact, the atheists rejects it.
Ps 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

"Thunder and Lightning": "the burden of proof is on you". there's nothing to prove, homie. you either believe in God (and have Him, so to speak) or you dont (and, naturally dont). God isnt going to reveal Himself to you in a way that impedes on your ability to have faith. is this not obvious? why would God want to be in the presence of someone who chose to live a certain way because he knew without question that God existed? i'm pretty certain if God exists the only thing that impresses Him is living in this world of evil and not becoming like it out of faith in the idea of love which Christ spoke of. the clouds wont be parted for you. sorry.

I don't think it's offensive, or even thought provoking. It's really just a pathetic argument. I just feel sorry for you.
Your lame joke is more a 'facepalm' moment than anything else.

Yes. It is a joke, because it's a straw man.
The burden of proof is on you. But like so many, you have to resort to a dishonest misrepresentation.

This counts as intelligent reasoning among the religious.
Thus, I'm not religious.
Oh, the glory of the apocryphal anecdote.

The issue is not whether god has a mind but whether he exists at all. Your example is a non-starter and way off the mark

So.... are you saying that because we can't find any evidence for God...then...He must exist...?
