  • I wonder have any of you have ever heard of or given thought to the following?

God is not the Father of all mankind. He is only the Father of born-again children of God. All men are the creatures of God, but not all are children of God. Man is a creature of God by creation; he becomes a child by re-creation: "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord . . . whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" (2Pe 1:2, 4).

There can be no sonship apart from the spiritual re-birth. A child has, always, the nature of his father. Man, who is born of Adam, has Adam's nature, which is corrupt, which is perverted, which is sinful. And the father of Adam's sinful nature is Satan. Thus, the nature of our father (Adam) is the same nature as Adam's father's (Satan); therefore, our nature is the same as Satan's. All unregenerated sinners have Satan as their father: "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it" (Joh 8:44). Summing it all up, if Satan is the father of the unsaved by the natural birth, we must have a supernatural birth in order for God to be our Father!

God does not have any fellowship with anything which is of Adam, for Adam is all that is of a sinful condition and nature. God only has to do with His Son. The world is divided into two divisions; in fact, there are only two men whom God recognizes: Adam and Christ; thus, sinners are divided as to their identity with these two men. The unsaved are identified with Adam; the saved are identified with Christ. All men are identified by the natural birth in Adam; born-again men are identified by the supernatural birth in Christ.

The unsaved man can only call God "God." The unsaved man cannot call God "Father." Only the child of God can call God "Father." When the Lord Jesus was hanging on the tree, He called out, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Notice that Christ did not cry, "My Father, my Father." but "My God, my God." Why? Why did He not call God "Father"? Because He was taking the sinner's place there in death, dying - the Just for the unjust. And as He was taking the sinner's place (a sinner can not call God "Father," but only "God"), He could only call God "God."

Where are we? In Adam or in Christ? "As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive" (1Co 15:22).

  • Almost all forms of complex life have both male and female.?

The male needs the female to reproduce, and the female needs the male to reproduce. If evolution is true, which then came first according to the evolutionary theory?

If the male came into being before a female, how did the male of each species reproduce without females? How is it possible that a male and female each spontaneously came into being, yet they have complex, complementary reproduction systems? If each sex was able to reproduce without the other, why (and how) would they have developed a reproductive system that requires both sexes in order for the species to survive?

  • Christians what are your thoughts on the following?

I believe that basically speaking, rock music in and of itself is problematic—period. And I believe that for many reasons. One is: rock music is a product of a disoriented, despairing, drug-related sex-mad generation. There’s no question about that. The first big rock singer was Elvis Presley, who killed himself with drugs and who went through women continuously. And he gave rise to the whole rock generation. He was the first, and his whole act was sexual, sensual. Nowadays the vernacular of rock music at this particular point represents a generation that I have real trouble identifying with. And what happens is if you put a Christian message in that vernacular, I think Christianity suffers immensely because I don’t think you can take that kind of medium and use it to propagate a Christian message. This is what I see happening in most churches today. It seems to me that people are going to church today to be entertained rather than worship God and grow spiritually.

  • Jehovah's Witnesses Have you ever really given thought to the following?

In Zechariah 12:10, Jehovah speaks of the future return of Christ and says, ". . . They shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourne for him, as one mourneth for his only son . . . ." This is spoken again in Revelation 1:7, which is clearly a reference to Christ Himself, but in Zechariah 12:10 GOD said, ". . . They shall look upon me whom they have pierced . . . ." The One that they pierced was Jesus Christ! So, in Zechariah 12:10, God is saying that He is Jesus Christ.

  • Christians are always being accused of forcing their beliefs upon others?

. I disagree as Christians can’t FORCE anyone to believe anything they don’t want to believe. As such I ask what do you think is happening by the following?

Homosexuality is being promoted in many of the public schools of America, and the homosexual agenda has the blessing of the highest levels of the National Education Association (NEA). NEA President Robert Chase gave the keynote address at the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) conference in Arlington Heights, Illinois, this month (“Homosexual convention targets grade-school kids,” WorldNetDaily, Oct. 11, 2000). The GLSEN promotes homosexuality in schools by propagandizing teachers and school officials, providing materials, and establishing homosexual student clubs called Gay-Straight Alliances. There are currently over 700 of these in high schools and middle schools. (The Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts, recently celebrated “Bisexual Awareness Day.”) GLSEN is also targeting elementary schools and kindergartens. GLSEN also pressures school officials to stop sponsoring the Boy Scouts, because of the organization’s common-sense ban on homosexual sco

One of the books distributed by GLSEN is “Celebrating Families,” featuring lesbian mothers with adopted daughters. The GLSEN-distributed movie “That’s a Family” depicts homosexual couples as normal, healthy “families.” The proposed lesson plan for grades 4-6 describes anti-homosexual thinking as persecution and compares it with Christians who are persecuted for their faith.

A “Visitor’s Companion” distributed at the GLSEN conference advertised homosexual bars and sex clubs in the Chicago area.

One of the seminars taught public school teachers how to “come out of the closet” and declare their homosexuality to the students and faculty.

Another seminar was titled “Responding to the Right Wing.” The leader of the seminar, Barbara Miner, expressed fear of school vouchers, because “vouchers and private schools will do an end-run around 20 to 30 years of rights gains.” These homosexual activists know that the average person is against them and the only way they can gain power is by using the government-controlled education monopoly and the decree of ungodly judges who subvert the constitution.

NEA President Robert Chase told the conference he did not care what “right wing” Christians think about his support of the homosexual agenda. The Family Research Council had launched a campaign urging people to write to Chase to discourage him from attending the conference, but Chase laughed about it and said he was happy they “are coming after me.”

  • Jehovah's Witness What is your thoughts on the following that I found on line?

    A Letter to Brooklyn

    (David Englund)

(See if you can get an answer , if you do, please let us know.)

I am not a Jehovah's Witness nor have I ever been one. I have read many of your publications and I am always willing to talk with Witnesses. I am confused by a number of statements in your publications which appear contradictory.

Several Witnesses have taken offense at my questions, apparently feeling that I am persecuting them for asking these questions. However, Since your publications invite non-Witnesses to examine the teachings of religious organizations to see if their "teachings are in full harmony with God's Word" or whether they are based on the "traditions of men." I thought I should write directly to you with my questions.

The Dec 1, 1984 WT indicates that your organization has been criticized by outsiders because your "publications have, at times stated that certain things could take place on certain dates" It goes on to say that "some expectations that appeared to backed up by Bible chronology did not materialize at the anticipated time". You indicated in the answer that these were "mistakes" because of over eagerness' to see God's purpose accomplished ."

This position bothers me because of statements you have previously made concerning your organization being Jehovah's sole channel of communication today. For your convenience, I'll number my specific questions.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. In Qualified To Be Ministers, Revised Edition of 1967, p 156, you say that if a person loves Jehovah he will:

"believe all things", all the things that the Watchtower brings out, inasmuch as it has been faithful in giving us a knowledge of God's purposes and guiding us in the way or peace safety, and truth from its inception to this present day."

Yet now it appears that some or your publications have been mistaken concerning interpretation of Bible prophecy. Specifically, which items do you now acknowledge to have been mistakes? How is a reader to know which prophetic interpretations are accurate and which are not?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    2. The May 1, 1938 Watchtower p 143, referring to your organization and prophecy, states,

"The Interpretation of prophecy, therefore, is not from man, but it is from Jehovah; and Jehovah causes events to come to pass in fulfillment of the prophecy in due time"

The July 1, 1943 issue on page 203 states that Jesus Christ "merely uses the servant class to publish this interpretation after the Supreme Court by Christ Jesus reveals it".

Vindication III, 1932, p 250 states that your organization is instructed by the Lord through the use of angels, How is it possible that mistakes have been made in prophetic interpretation if these claims are true. Surely Jehovah is capable of mistake free communication through imperfect men since he has done so through the prophets in the Old and New Testaments.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    3. Why is it wrong for Witnesses to study the Bible and make up their own minds as to whether or not The Watchtower is right (see the 1/15/83 WT, p 27) when you now admit mistakes on important matters such as prophecy? How is a sincere person to know when your publications contain the truth communicated by Jehovah and when they contain a mistake caused by over-eagerness on the part or the human authors?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    4. The Watchtower of 5/15/30, p 154 states;

"Since the Bible was completed and "inspiration" is no longer necessary, a true prophet is one who is faithfully proclaiming what is written in the Bible" .

You go on to say that a true prophet's words will come to pass exactly as prophesied and that if it does not come to pass the prophet is a false prophet. That same magazine states :

"It matters not whether he proclaims his message with deliberate, willful and malicious intent to deceive, or whether he is the blinded and deluded dupe of Satan and hence unwittingly used of him. In either case, he is a false prophet and hence the agent of Satan".

Has your organization therefore been an unwitting false prophet by proclaiming future events in Jehovah's name which did not come to pass as proclaimed?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    5. I have had Witnesses criticize me for asking questions concerning statements made in old Watchtower publications. They tell me it is unfair to dredge up old materials when there are more recent writings are available. Do you consider this unfair, if so, please tell me how far back it is legitimate for me to go in examining your doctrinal statements and prophetic Interpretations, one year, five years, fifty

  • Using a TV for monitor. Movies will not play on TV?

Movies will not play using my TV as a monitor when attempting to play DVD or recorded movies on hard drive. Other than in media center I can't get a picture. Only a magenta screen in all other players such as real player and windows player. The movies on the inter net will play ok.

The screen on my laptop is about gone with vertical lines but I can still see that the movies are playing on the computer just not on the TV.

Any suggestions what I can do to correct this would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Why would a person who professes to be an atheist?

come to the R&S site and try to use scripture to tell Christians how to live and talk?

Most of the time the scripture used is misquoted or taken out of context. For example they tell us that we are not to judge them or anyone else. If the Bible is clear about anything, it is clear about the importance of judging on a regular basis in order to properly serve and honor God. To ignore this fact is to ignore the Scriptures. God expects us to judge. In fact, we are sinning against God if we refuse to judge! (Read that again, please)

"Judge not, that ye be not judged?" This verse of Scripture from Matthew 7:1 is often quoted out of context by people who are terrified at the idea of someone preaching against sin or pointing out any form of error in anyone, especially in themselves.

As for Matthew 7:1, the context (verses 1-5) allows judging after you have first judged YOURSELF. Jesus did not make a blanket statement against judgment. He simply pointed out a RULE for judging.

Psa. 37:30) A righteous person will talk of judgment. He will not REFUSE to judge. He will talk judgment.

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate….." (Amos 5:14-15) How can we hate the evil and love the good if we refuse to judge? We can't. We are SINNING when we refuse to judge.

I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?" (I Cor. 6:1-5) If judging is wrong, then Paul needs to confess and repent for misleading these Christians! He clearly told them to JUDGE PEOPLE.

If judging people is wrong, how can we obey Romans 16:17-18? II Corinthians 6:17? II Timothy 3:5-6? I John 4:1?

I could name many instances where scripture is misquoted to try to make it refer to something it doesn’t but space doesn’t allow it.

  • Christians are always accused of pushing their beliefs, what about the following?

    Posted: April 30, 2009

    12:30 am Eastern

    © 2009 WorldNetDaily

The U.S. House today approved a federal "hate crimes" bill that would provide special protections to homosexuals but leave Christian ministers open to prosecution should their teachings be linked to any subsequent offense, by anyone, against a "gay."

The vote, 249-175, came despite intense from Republicans who argued the measure would create a privileged class.

Andrea Lafferty, executive director of the Traditional Values Coalition, said, "The Anti-Christian Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives has acted today to lay the legal foundation and framework to investigate, prosecute and persecute pastors, youth pastors, Bible teachers, and anyone else whose Bible speech and thought is based upon and reflects the truths found in the Bible.

"A pastor's sermon could be considered 'hate speech' under this legislation if heard by an individual who then acts aggressively against persons based on 'sexual orientation.' The pastor could be prosecuted for 'conspiracy to commit a hate crime'" she said.

"This Democrat-controlled Congress has now elevated pedophiles and other bizarre sexual orientations, as well as drag queens, transgenders, lesbians and gay men to the level of protection of that already given to African Americans, Hispanics and other minorities in the law," she said.

House Republican leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said the Democrats have placed a higher value on some lives compared to others, a decision he said is unconstitutional.

Not happy with just making Christian teachings on homosexuality illegal, supporters have approved a law that also provides grant money for so-called "sensitivity-training" to provide pro-homosexual propaganda, noted the public-interest legal group Liberty Counsel.

  • Can the evolutionist explain the origin of sex?

Starting with one germ or even a few germs, reproduction must have been by division for a time. If the germ that became the head of all plant life, reproduced by division, when did it begin to reproduce by seeds?

It is still more difficult to explain when sex life began in animals. There could have been no sex life at first, and perhaps for ages. They can not tell us when the animals, by chance, acquired the wonderful adaptation of the sexual life. They have no evidence whatever. Their guess is no better than that of others. It passes credulity to believe that the sexual life, with all its marvelous design, was reached by the invention of irrational animals, when man, with all his powers of reason, invention, and discovery, is helpless even to understand the great wisdom and power that brought it about.

Can blind chance, or aimless effort by senseless brutes, accomplish more than the amazing design of an infinitely wise and powerful God?

How was the progeny of mammals kept alive, during the ages required for the slow development of the mammae?

  • I keep reading on this R&S site that we are all God's children.?

If this is true why would Jesus say the following?

    John 8:41-45

41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

  • Ever wonder how often we take for granted that children understand what we are teaching?

A child was asked to write a book report on the entire Bible. I wonder how often we take for granted that children understand what we are teaching??? Through the eyes of a child: The Children's Bible in a Nutshell In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was nothing but God, darkness, and some gas. The Bible says, 'The Lord thy God is one, but I think He must be a lot older than that. Anyway, God said, 'Give me a light!' and someone did. Then God made the world. He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were naked, but they weren't embarrassed because mirrors hadn't been invented yet. Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one bad apple, so they were driven from the Garden of Eden .....Not sure what they were driven in though, because they didn't have cars. Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who hated his brother as long as he was Abel. Pretty soon all of the early people died off, except for Methuselah , who lived to be like a million or something. One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good guy, but one of his kids was kind of a Ham. Noah built a large boat and put his family and some animals on it. He asked some other people to join him, but they said they would have to take a rain check. After Noah came Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was more famous than his brother, Esau, because Esau sold Jacob his birthmark in exchange for some pot roast. Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud sports coat. Another important Bible guy is Moses, whose real name was Charlton Heston . Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt and=20away from the evil Pharaoh after God sent ten plagues on Pharaoh's people. These plagues included frogs, mice, lice, bowels, and no cable. God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti. Then he gave them His Top Ten Commandments. These include: don't lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet your neighbor's stuff. Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more: Humor thy father and thy mother. One of Moses' best helpers was Joshua who was the first Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and the fence fell over on the town. After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a giant with a slingshot. He had a son named Solomon who had about 300 wives and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn't sound very wise to me. After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets. One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed up on the shore. There were also some minor league prophets, but I guess we don't have to worry about them. After the Old Testament came the New Testament . Jesus is the star of The New. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn. (I wish I had been born in a barn too, because my mom is always saying to me, 'Close the door! Were you born in a barn?' It would be nice to say, 'As a matter of fact, I was.') During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like the Pharisees and the Democrats. Jesus also had twelve opossums. The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they named a terrible vegetable after him. Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even preached to some Germans on the Mount. But the Democrats and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn't stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead. Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life again. He went up to Heaven but will be back at the end of the Aluminum. His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

  • Mormons How do you explain this?

I have a question for you concerning The Apostle John & the Three Nephites, Immortals? If John the Apostle never died and is still here on earth (D&C 7) and the three Nephites in the Book of Mormon (3 Nephi 28:6-8) never died, what does that do for the Mormon claim of the complete Apostasy of the Church?

Don't the LDS claim that there were no representatives left on earth who had or could pass on the keys to the kingdom, which I assume is the authority to confer the Melchizedek and Aaronic priesthoods and whatever other mumbo-jumbo they deem necessary for the establishment of the Church? If that is true, why was there a need for a Restoration since it was still present in the persons of John and the Three Nephites? And what do Mormons say these two thousand plus year old men are doing these days?

I can't see how an apostasy would have been complete with four apostles roaming around who could have ordained others. Writing in 1979 LDS Apostle Bruce McConkie, in Mormon Doctrine, commented:

"They [the Three Nephites] continued their ministry among the Nephites for some 300 years, until the time of Mormon, when they were finally withdrawn because of the wickedness of the people (4 Ne.1:30-37; Morm.1:13-16.) Unbeknowns to the world, they are continuing their assigned ministry at this time, and there have been occasions when they have appeared to members of the Church in this final dispensation. It is the common practice in the Church to call them the Three Nephites." (Mormon Doctrine, 1979, p.793)

  • Why do Catholics make the mass a sacrifice?

The bible says: "And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin" (Heb. 10:17,18).

Note the summing-up statement: "Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin." When one has trusted Christ and had his sins forgiven, then "there is no more offering for sin," no more animal sacrifices, no more of any other kind of sacrifices.

So to make the mass a sacrifice, to claim that in the mass Jesus is sacrificed again and again, that the bread becomes His body, that the wine becomes His blood, and that there is saving virtue in this sacrifice. Isn't that a blasphemous rejection of the Bible in favor of traditions of men?
