Does anyone know what courtship is?
Just curious to see what answers I get... I know that there are many diverse definitions on courtship, so I was wondering how many other definitions there are.
FYI: for those of you who don't know, courtship is still a modern day thing, just not done by many people, and definitely not talked about unless you are in certain social groups.

oh wow, that is awesome...what a colloquial term! (not knocking ya)
i would relate courtship to any chivalrous actions. A man does things to woo a woman....he behaves in very polite ways in attempts to win over the woman's heart. One of the best forms of courtship i can think of, though it's so cliche, is a man standing outside a woman's house by her window, playing the guitar and singing a song for her. ...Courting, i think is just acting in romantic ways that are so different than what modern men think romanticism is. Literally, the man behaves in the ways men did back during midieval times...or renaissance times.
Those are the uniquely, genuinely, good natured fellows in society. And there are like...five of them in the world lol

I would say that it's spending time with a woman/man to see if the other party is a suitable candidate for one's husband or wife.
Courtship is an activity undertaken by those who believe in saving physical intimacy for marriage, I would say.
