I am a Christian and seek to serve God in everything I do (including marraige). I am the oldest of ten children, I have been in college now for 3 years. Studying Music at the moment but have recently realized that I don't think that's what I want to do.... Great timing huh? I enjoy playing soccer, basketball, boxing, and any other sports that involve being aggressive. I was homeschooled since kindergarten and contrary to others beliefs homeschoolers have plenty of socialization. I have played soccer for the past 7 years and basketball since I was five. I have played my flute for 9 years. I have four dogs and love them all sooooo much. I am looking forward to all that God has planned for my life. And I pray that everything I do honors Him and gives Him glory.

  • 2008 Chevy Cobalt (special edition) Should I replace the timing chain myself?

Recently ran into my car making rattling noises and not starting up smoothly. After getting the codes read, I had hoped it was just the crank position sensor. Turns out it's actually the timing chain and it needs to be replaced. The dealership quoted me $1,100.00 for the repair. I've called other mechanics, three said they would call me back and one gave me a quote of $400.00. The timing chain kit only costs $150.00. Is it worth the money saved to do this myself? It seems pretty complicated/in depth. I could do it if I have to, just looks like it may take me a couple full days to do it on my own.

Is it worth it to take it somewhere and have it done? Or will doing it myself (even with it taking longer) be a better option? Are there huge risks in doing it myself?

  • Was this a genuin kiss or just because he was drunk?

So, I went to hang out with a friend at his house quite a few weeks ago. We've been really good friends for about 3 years, but he's alwas considered me his "little sister", even calls me that on occasion. The most physical he's ever been with me has been hugs, and usually side hugs.

But, this night when I came over he gave me a huge hug and kissed me on the cheek... He also kept resting his hand on my knee/leg while talking with me. I noticed that he was being extra goofy that night too, but was just more confused about how physical he was being.

I found out a couple nights ago that he actually was intoxicated, I couldn't tell that night cause he's a pretty functional drunk.

I've had people tell me that a man's true feelings come out when he's drunk and others who just say men do stupid things without thinking or realizing what they are doing....

Does he actually like me more than a sister? Or, was that kiss just the alcohol?

  • Can I give my dog a second dose of heartworm meds?

My friend has a puppy who recently started losing weight. He took him to the vet and they treated him for tape worms about a week ago. But he's still losing weight. The vet wants to do a bunch more tests. But my friend has been without a job for about a month and just started a new one this month. He just can't afford the tests right now.

His dog is 8 months old, contiues to lose weight and is very lethargic. No other symptoms.

He had his 6 month check up and they gave him his 6 month shots (this included heartworm vaccine)

He's not sure if it was a six month shot or if it was a monthly dose they gave him.

It could be heartworm, if it is... would it hurt his puppy to give him a monthly dose now?

Also could be overactive thyroid, would it hurt him to give him over the counter meds for that?

Or, it could be diabetes... which means he'd have to get insolin shots (which I assume are not over the counter)

  • How do I get rid of the ants living in my veggie garden?

I apparently planted my lettuce, spinach, basil, cauliflower, and brocili in an area where there are now many ant hills. I went out to weed and water my garden yesterday and found thousands of little ants crawling all over my plants. I really didn't want to use pesticides, but I'm not sure how else to get rid of them.

  • I have an idea of what I want for a tattoo, what do you think?

I want a sunflower with only 11 petals. Each petal is a representation of one of my siblings. I'm gonna get their first two initials in each of the petals. The only problem with that is one of my siblings was miscaried and she only had a first name... so I was thinking of just the letter "E" followed by a small heart...

I'm gonna get it on my shoulder like in this pic:

And I want it colored about the color of these:

  • Why does my power windows fuse keep blowing?

I have a 2008 special edition Chevy Cobalt. This winter, the power windows fuse just randomly started blowing. I thought it was because I used it quite abit to exit the parking ramp for work, but it's blown twice since then and I don't park in a ramp for work anymore. The last fuse only lasted about 4 weeks. The other fuse went about a month and a half. Any idea what is wrong or what I can do to fix it?

I do most of my own car work, going to school to get my mechanics license in the fall... I'm just not sure what's going on with this fuse!

  • How do I change my '99 z24 chevy cavalier's alternator?

I cannot seem to get my alternator out. There is a hard plastic tube in the way. I can't get my hands down in there to get the electrical plug is or where the bolt and nut on that side is. Has anyone ever changed one on this type of vehicle? What did you have to do to get it off? I am at a loss right now, so frustrated.

  • My car is making a clicking/popping sound, what is wrong with it?

It's on the left side and it makes the sound mainly when I take turns, especially when I turn the wheel all the way. We have checked both calipers and both cv joints. We actually changed the one on the drivers side before I found out how to check to see if they were bad. It is a '97 Dodge Avenger, and I haven't had it for that long. Breaks are perfect and so are the calipers. As far as I can tell the cv joints are fine too. I was told that if I try and move the cv joint and it moves then it's bad, but if it doesn't then it is fine. and it doesn't move at all.

  • My Lhasa Apso makes this horrid sound like he's gonna throw up, but never does, any idea what's wrong?

I've had a couple different answers, one is that it's like a backwards hiccup and another that it's a backwards sneeze.... which one if either is it?

It's completely normal for him, he has done it just about all his life and he's 4 now.

  • I got elbowed in the eye and still have a knot on my cheek bone?

I was playing basketball with a couple guys and went to go dunk and when one of them went to block it he accidently elbowed me in the eye. This happened on the 9th and it is now the 19th and I still have a knot on my cheek bone. Is this normal? Or should I have it checked out?

  • What are some common problems with '97 Dodge Avengers?

I just recently bought a 1997 Dodge Avenger. The water pump and the timing belt were just changed a week before I bought it. It's in REALLY great condition, and doesn't even look like a '97. Just wondering what are some things I should keep an eye out for....

  • Am I intimidating? Or too grown up? Or what's the problem?!?

Seems like every time I get close to a guy, and become really good friends they end up getting a girlfriend and then stop talking to me. I really would like to know what's going on. The only guys who have ever been interested in a relationship with me have been real needy guys or guys who have a lot of issues that they need to get figured out.

Here's a little bit about me:

I'm a the oldest of 10 children, I love them all very much, and love spending time with them. I also love spending time with any child, I've been told that I have a very nurturing character. I love to cook, not particularly for myself, but I really love to cook for other people. I am not the type of person who likes to go out and party, I don't drink and have a very hard time doing anything out of the ordinary and generally don't do crazy things. I absolutely love people, love listening to them, especially those who just need someone to talk to and vent to. Could this be intimidating to guys? Or what else could be the problem? I'm just really confused right now.

  • Does anyone know what courtship is?

Just curious to see what answers I get... I know that there are many diverse definitions on courtship, so I was wondering how many other definitions there are.

FYI: for those of you who don't know, courtship is still a modern day thing, just not done by many people, and definitely not talked about unless you are in certain social groups.

  • Hey GUYS, any ADVICE/OPINION??

Is there any way I can get a guys attention without being flirtatious? I really like this guy, he is absolutely amazing. But, I don't want to be like all the other girls who flirt with him all the time. I've known him for over a year, and I thought he was interested in me, come to find out he only thinks of me as a really good friend. Is there any chance that something could happen, since he only thinks of me as a good friend?

What I don't understand is why he talks to me soooo much.... idk, it's just really confusing for a girl, that's for sure.

This must seem like a stupid question... I feel like I'm back in grade school whenever I talk to him or see him, only not.... if that makes any sense.

  • Dealership FRAUD?!!!!!!!?

I bought a car in October from this small dealership and we filled out the paperwork to get the title transfered. It's been six months now and we still don't have the title. We have filled out the paperwork four times now and every time he doesn't turn the paperwork in. So, we told him we were returning the car and wanted our money back and he doesn't have it.

What should I do? I don't have a car (one that I can drive anyway) now and I don't have money to buy another one. I'm stuck at home all the time because I don't have a vehicle to drive.
