xbox 360 controller will not connect! Already attempted to synchronize it!?
Okay, I know this gets asked a lot, but heres the situation. A while ago, I let a friend borrow my 360 controller. He brought it back and the controller will not connect to the 360 (even via the charger plug).
Also the batteries/pack are charged.
When I turn the controller on, it simply blinks and the 360 won't turn on either.
If I manually turn on the 360 and the controller, there's still nothing.
I've ALREADY ATTEMPTED THE SYNCHRONIZATION BUTTONS.
Yes, I've pressed the sync button near memory unit B on the console, and the button on the controller. When I do this, both the console and the controller lights will spin then blink before the controller blinks repeatedly, and the xbox sync lights go blank (aside from the middle light indicating its on)
I already went back to my friends place and amazing the controller works for his xbox 360, so we can rule out the controller isn't broken.
Any ideas?

It sounds like there is some sort of interference going on. Try unplugging the power cord from the 360 and plugging it back in. Then try the cable and sync options again. Or try syncing it when other devices are turned off - ie TV, cable box, dvd player, etc. Thats all I can think of. Good luck

Try removing the battery and then try again?
I also find that you must press the sync button on the console then hit the one on the xbox control.
You could always trade consoles with your friend since it really wouldn't matter if your really desperate.

Well then it sounds like there could be something wrong with the xbox. If the charger plug doesn't work than i don't no what to tell you, do you have any other controllers to test out the xbox because if they don't work then something is wrong with the xbox.

when the lights are flashing on the 360 and controller while synchronizing let go of the sync button. they'll sync by themselves

Yea i get this problem alot too, but i have one of the controllers that can attach and be cordless, but what i find is that when you take your controller to somone elses xbox it programs it to your controller so what i do is use the cord and connect it to my xbox and then try it again, sorry i couldnt help more :) but i hope this works for you

Beat ur controller on a solid wall try it again if it doesnt work jst cough up the $50 adn go get a new controller

Call 1-800-4MY-XBOX (1-800-469-9269) and ask them if they know any easy fixes. Be sure to tell them it's the console that's the error. They will most likely fix it for a fee if you cannot find another solution.
