Do you like puzzles (comment/critique)?

Once - I completed a 10,000 piece jigsaw puzzle. It took me a few days, but I worked on it until I couldn't keep my eyes open, then started again every morning until that damn thing was put together. And I finally saw a beautiful picture of some stupid horse in some stupid field. Leaves and grass - the designers make a lot of leaves and grass for the small detail ...

We're too busy

for jigsaw puzzles

endless hours

finding that exact right piece

for that exact right spot.

Backs aren't supposed to break

over little pieces.

And

if we want a beautiful picture

of some stupid horse

in some stupid field -

we can just go buy one

ready-

made.

But it wasn't really stupid, was it.

If only people would take the time to be precise

    over "stupid" things. Just think.

But a puzzle can represent life, the picture but dessert. My Mother loved jigsaw puzzles and I did my fair share growing up during harsh winters. To me it always came down to a contest and how fast I could put one together! I am proud to say that I am now 40 years without touching one! Liked the ying and yang of the two stanzas.
