my brother wants to go to a big party at friends house and their parents wont be home. mom wants him 2 go cuz he is 17 and hes one year from being an adult even tho thers gonna b drugs/alcohol most likely/ lots of peer pressure. dad doesnt want him 2 go. plz help which parent is rite

i would agree with dad even though he is 17 he is still a teen and his dad is jus looking out for him.

Dad is right. Why would a parent want their child to go to a party where there are drugs and alcohol?

What the hell does partying have to do with being an adult. The adult thing would be to decide on his own what he wants to do. And if he wants to go to the party, the adult thing to do would be to not do anything stupid at the party.
