what is the difference between pink eye and allergy eyes?

since yesterday my eyes have been red and itching really bad... started in my left eye and last night both my eyes hurt and itched really bad and are both red...

    Allergy eyes are generally accompanied by allergy symptoms but check out your symptoms here and be careful pink eye can be contagious since it is caused by a virus.
