Is it ironic that the FBI's definition of terrorism describes the most of the CIA's activities and operations?
According to the USA government terrorism is:
"..the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives." (28 C.F.R. Section 0.85)
The FBI further adds
"International terrorism involves violent acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or any state, or that would be a criminal violation if committed within the jurisdiction of the United States or any state. These acts appear to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population, influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion, or affect the conduct of a government by assassination or kidnapping. International terrorist acts occur outside the United States or transcend national boundaries in terms of the means by which they are accomplished, the persons they appear intended to coerce or intimidate, or the locale in which the perpetrations operate or seek asylum."
Reading through many govt. papers available to the public via the freedom of information act and other methods, is it ironic that by self admission, the CIA is one of the leading sponsors of terrorism?

Which includes organizing, funding, and arming insurgency groups. Assassinating democratically elected leaders and replacing them with juntas and dictatorships friendly to the USA..burning industries..burning crops..driving peasants off their land to make room for USA corporations..enslaving hundreds of thousands in sweat shops after depriving the people their means to live..spraying chemical weapons over crops to starve peasants..bombing villages...(incomplete list).

Nicholas you are obviously not aware that the govt. doesn't have "unlimited power". Covert actions in other countries have been proved illegal countless of times. There is almost unlimited evidence to back this up, start by looking at how the USA lost it's International court case in Nicaragua v. United States.

You may want to check out www.infowars.com Alex Jones is the guy giving the news along with Jason Bermas. JB helped make the movie "loose change" about the supposed terrorist attacks on Sept. 11th 2001. You have to look to the alternative media to get the real story. and you know for a fact the cia has committed these acts? are you privy to national security briefings? i have a high security clearance and work in national security and i have no knowledge of any violations.
i just wonder how you have knowledge of this and i do not.
