its about aids..plz help?

i went for blood grouping... he took blood from my finger tip.. but he used a big glass plate and cleaned it with cotton in front of me. then he put my cut finger on that slab to take blood.

is there a chance for infection.... if yes... when should i go for check up... if i check early it may show negative hiv

    I think what happened was that the technologist pricked you finger with a sterile instrument, very much like a needle, and then expressed the blood on to a glass slab. The glass slab was probably stored in a sterilizing liquid such as alcohol or acetone, when he wiped the glass with the cotton wool he wasn't cleaning/sterilizing it; he was drying the glass so that the fluid would not interfere with the blood grouping test. Therefore you have not been exposed to any infections so stop worrying and enjoy being a blood donor.

    Actually what you are feared of,its the processes of blood grouping i dont find anything to fear for this situation

    If you are feared that the technician might have used the old syringe which was used for aids patient then you have to go for the hiv test and that to after 1-2 months before this time period the test will be negative eventhough it might have caused

    I DEF WOULD GO GET TESTED AND EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED I WOULD DO IT ATLEAST 2 MORE TIMES IN A 6 MONTH PERIOD BC SOMETIMES IT HAS A DELAYED REACTION...BUT I AM SURE YOU WILL BE FINE:)
