I stay with a Old lady she is got an yard around her house, sometime In december she had the dried leaves blown up as they fell from trees coz of autumn.. and they stood there always until now reasons may be she could not afford to pay the people to clean it up for her... Now by some means we could help her to do so... when i hired 2 latin americans to do so they told us the leaves have decayed a lot in puddles the reason could be they have stayed there since it rained etc.. which caused the decaying.. and to my surprize they found small snakes around as well as bees.. from those puddles... gosh that was scary... they left and did not want to do so.. I want to help this old lady , please any one suggest in such a situation what shall I do? whom could I call.. ? does any one has a Eco Freindly enviourment Number.. this place wher eI stay is Atlanta Georgia.... Iam very worried about this situation please can any one help me solve this problem for her.... I would want to help her pay and clear all that...

the snakes you saw were probably earth worms,,,they love moist compost piles,,and grow very big,,, i have got some in my compost 8 inches long,, and bigger round than a pencil,,they are called night crawlers,,leave em in the compost, they eat the dead material, and redeposit droppings , which is a good potting soil,,, if u had some puddles of standing water, most likeky the bees were dirt doppers,,,not actually a bee,,they dont sting, they gather mud to make their nests with,, but if u are really worried bout it u can call a pest extermitator com. like orkin,,,ok hope this helps...

All it is, is a compost pile... Which turns into good usable soil ;]... You can call an exterminator to get rid of the bees and snakes if they are that bad. Once they are gone all you have to do is turn the pile and mix it up... I've been putting my grass clippings in my back yard, one spot has been there awhile (has been rained on), and I moved it around to see if it was coming along and sure enough I have good soil for gardening! ;]

Just wear big leather boots, and move slowly. Most likely the other two are right opn the money, but if they are snakes, they don't want to be around you any more than you want to be around them. If you uncover a snake, just hold still and give him plenty of time and space to leave.
