Jehovah's Witnesses only: Why do you come to this website?

The more I think about it the more I see its a waste of time. I have decided to limit my time here just for my lunch breaks at work. But I cannot deny that we can all comfort and encourage one another as well.

So from now on I will update all my contacts through a silly question like "Jehovah's Witnesses, did you go to your Sunday Meeting?" I have to this because otherwise it will be subject to deletion. Also if I ask this question in some bizarre category to prevent apostates from seeing it, will my contacts me able to see it?

I have 140 blocks mostly apostates but they have multiple accounts. I just want to update my contacts every so often because yesterdays WT study made me really want to start taking in that spiritual mature food and that takes time and effort.

Update:

Edit: Oh and bros and sis this question is not to make anyone feel bad about coming on here. To each his/her own. We all know when its time to quit this site as many have already.

Reo, my brother, right on! You are already displaying spiritual maturity. In the beginning, I just "happened" on this site and saw some serious Bible questions being asked; that was in the beginning. I really enjoyed answering serious, honest questions. Then came the apostates, pretending to "want to know" this and that about Jehovah's people when really all they had was an agenda of hate like Satan, and an agenda to deceive and misalign Jehovah's good name and the good people who bear his name, just like Satan. I've really slacked off about coming here because of this. I will occasionally come on this site to see how things are going or if there is an honest question being asked but for the most part it's turned pretty much into what I refer as to the A and A site, (Atheists and Apostates). Please keep my E-mail address, Reo, as I want to hear about your continued progress. Next week's Watchtower study, although directed toward youth, has many powerfully insightful spiritual aids that can help us all. What really turned me off about this site was an Avatar picture allowed here of a woman's fully opened crotch, hair and all, in your face. Pornography was allowed here. I detest Pornography! So, my best to you brother and to all my other brothers and sisters in the Truth. I hope you all follow suit with Reo.

Not gonna spill my heart out here and now ,however some years ago I discovered this site from Yahoo and have been off and on with it ever since and I find it helpful to stay in the know .Also have been built up here somewhat and have learned quite a lot from ones on here with the exceptions of the paste jobs.I have enjoyed seeing the apostates get a licking time after time and seen at the same time well answered questions given to thousands perhaps millions of people who would never would have seen or heard such answers at the doors or other avenues. Also these answers are always here for those who want to do research along with the support of the faithful at (watchtower.org).

I certainly agree with you. We should not spend so much time here especially answering Qs of JW-haters. But i welcome sincere questions ;-)

I also love hearing from bro and sis from different parts of the world. Because I am from an Asian country, so the schedule of assemblies is much different. We usually have District Convention at the end of the year but the Special Assembly is on the early quarter of the year. If am not mistaken in western countries it's the other way around. The more I hear/read about the coming district convention the more i get excited.

I also want to straight out facts about us. Because there are users here (who i believe are not apostates) who have no idea about us. For instance some believe that we teach that 144,000 will only be saved and that we do not give importance to Jesus. There are misconceptions about us that I believe must clarified to sincere users. But I believe silly or nonsense Qs about us should be ignored.

I would like to commend you on your decision to study more and take in spiritual food. We certainly need to be mature as we are approcahing the conclusion of things ;-)

This is really hard to admit but I've been inactive for awhile, although I still get some of the literature. I have always loved studying and learning about the Bible although the door to door ministry has always been hard for me. Mostly because it's boring, even though I know it's what Jesus commanded us to do.

Very recently I happened across this site and some of the questions were interesting and heartfelt. Because I'm older (I was baptized in 1956) had pioneered for a while and have a good memory as well as an extensive Theocratic library, I felt compelled to answer some of the questions, those that seemed honest. Especially from young people, many of whom obviously had no spiritual guidance.

What being here (and I have to limit my time too) has done is make me appreciate more than ever how important a relationship with Jehovah is in my life. I realize how much I love Him and want to stand up for his name and his Word. So I guess you could say I'm here to get back in the groove and finally get to communicate with people about the Bible and Jehovah.

Where are the bodies of the servants of God of long time ago, especially those that died before the time of Jesus ? They turned to dust jut like Genesis 3:19 says. In other words where was Adam before Jehovah created him ? He was non-existent of course. Jehovah created him from the dust. Likewise when he resurrects a person again he is going to re-create that person again but now with his personal identity. Daniel 12: 2 says And there will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life and those to reproaches and to indefinitely lasting abhorrence. These prophecy is going to take place in the beginning of the 1000 year rule.At the end of the 1000 year rule when Satan is loosened for a short while a numerous amount of people living then on the earth will fail the last test and will be devoured by fire or be hurled into the ( symbolic) lake of fire which is the same, meaning that they will be destroyed forever. These will go into everlasting shame, like Judas Iscariot. Those who pass the test will go into everlasting life. Rev.20:7-9 The main point here is that those in the dust of the ground will be resurrected.

I come on her because i am under a lot of stress lately and sometimes helping other people makes me feel better. If i can get them to find out about Jehovah, it's an added bonus.

I also love all the brothers and sisters that i have become friends with on this site. Some have been really encouraging when i have needed it most.

Yes, it can be hard coming on here sometimes because of all the apostates but I am kind of getting the knack to be able to spot them. I hope! It's really so nice, though, to see all of the answers here from my Brothers and Sisters and I got a nice email from a Sister who's from the UK too a couple of weeks back. But in the main we are doing are very best to help people to come to know Jehovah on here. Like we do when we are out in the ministry, though it's not that easy. People are just not that interested, mostly.

I'm really glad Reo that you are back on track toward Jehovah. Love to you and all my Brothers and Sisters on here.

On a good day in service, I might find 4 people at home, 2 who will listen to the subject, and maybe 1 interested enough to want the offer is. So, most of the morning is talking with my partner in service, and coffee break!!

Here, I might find 4 interesting questions, some about why this or that, some "do JW do this or that?". I try to avoid known haters, whether apostate or too overly born againers. And I can do the research to answer the question, when at home, I have the Library, here at work when on my breaks, I have my study library with me. I use this time to sharpen my study habits, finding real answers to real questions.

Of course I do given in some times and give stupid answers to stupid questions, just for the fun of it.

And I watch out for the ones like you who are trying to fight the fine fight, to warn of the negatives of some of the peoples comments and their efforts to tear down the faith we hold in common.

I have enjoyed watching you, because over the year I have been on here I have seen your fight, and I pray that you continue it. Just this step alone, seeing that Y!A is really not the place with the answers (only the faithful and discreet slave can fill that position), and you expanding back into a positive relationship with Jehovah. You are taking steps that can only benefit you and your brothers.

I come here to answer honest-hearted questions, which, anymore are few and far between so I don't come here an awful lot.I often wonder why this section is called Religion & Spirituality because it's usually atheists and the like with their non-religious banter. What's so religious and spiritual about that?!

Anyway, I was so pleased to learn that you are going to resume your studies again and go back to the Kingdom Hall! You are very encouraging to me. I must admit that I did remove you from my contact list for a little while because it seemed to me that you weren't going to change and your comments and questions bothered me a little. But all the while, I did read your posts off and on and I think now you are finally beginning to make good spiritual progress. Keep it up : )

Please continue to keep us posted on your progress.

I, personally come here for several reasons. First, if I can help anyone, I would like to. Second; I love the brothers, and getting to know, even slightly, some from other areas makes me happy. Third; I work full time, and my time for spiritual things is not as much as I would like it to be, and answering here helps keep my skills honed. Finally, I am encouraged by you all, even, in a weird way, by those who oppose us, because I can see the proof of Jehovah's Witnesses' 'right-ness' in their taunts and lies.

I will still watch for you. I hope you will let me know how you are doing once in a while. I am glad that the meetings are having an immediate impact on you.

Source(s): Edit-@Adams Rib-You are right! I guess people are usually pretty nice to me, face to face, but here, I found out what people really think about Jehovah. They don't feel the need to be polite, quite the contrary. I have heard some of the most outrageous things here, but I think we need to lose some of our ignorance in these dangerous times. Some of the violent attitudes of the people here would be scary if I didn't know that it's to be expected. I want to remain innocent as a dove, yet as cautious as a serpent. One other reason I come here is because I have come to love you all. Some I feel a special fondness for, because of personal contact, but I truly love you all.
