What's wrong with my mouse?
Recently, I've realized my mouse has put on a large amount of weight. She's about twice the size as my younger mouse. (She is around two years old.) She's also started breathing really heavily, and weezing. Her eyes are also irritated, and she's extremely tired. I doubt she's pregnant, because they're both female. Any idea what could be wrong?

Maybe congestive heart failure? Take her to the vet and see what they say. It could just be her diet or she's not exercising.

If she's around two years old, she's a reallyy old mouse.
And could have a tumor in her lungs. If you take her to the vet and explain the symptoms to them and to get an ultra sound, they can tell you. It'll only be around $50. It's worth the money if you really want to know whats wrong with her. That's what i did with my rat and i felt a lot better knowing what was wrong because worrying about it was just so stressful.

Mice don't have very long life expectancies. =( She could have a tumor or some other internal problem. I would take her to the vet if I were you...I'm really sorry about this, but it may not turn out so good......but I am still wishing you the best, so do whatever you can to help her. Best of luck!

rodents are very vunerable to tumors and respatory problems; sounds like a case of both; id get it checked out b4 its to late...my first rat's tummy got really big and my mom wouldnt take it to the vet b/c she just thought it was just fat; she was eventually not able to eat by herself so we hand fed her...she did live a full 3 yrs tho; it ended up being a tumor in her tummy.

If you feed her a lot of sugary things she may have diabetes. I'd talk to a vet though.

You need to take her to vet immediately. Mice are prey animals and they don't start to look that sick until they are VERY sick.
