a convicted felon cannot vote but how in the world did one become our 43rd President?

Is the only U.S. president to enter office with a felony conviction on his record.

It is simple when Daddy is richer than any human being deserves to be and you have turd blossom (karl rove) running your campaign, The last election little w actually won was that of governor for texas. In 2000 he was selected because sandra day o'connor was told that if Gore won she would be forced to stay on the bench. Like an idiot she believed the gop and voted for the shrub.

It didn't hurt that both times george's little brother jeb made sure he won florida! And the second time around those voting machines made it a lot easier to steal an election! Of course we can't forget blackwell who made sure ohio's electoral votes went to bush!

If you think bush was a good president, you must have had a lobotomy done! Remember how bush claimed he was a 'decider'? He didn't make any decisions except to invade Iraq, everything else was left to turd blossom and dark vader!

each state has the power to decide how they will enable their citizens to vote. This goes back to the colonial days when the states were afraid of having a central government, so to calm their fears, they let states run voting. In New York State, a person who is in jail or on parole for a felony cannot vote. This is also the law in 46 states and the District of Columbia. In 14 states, ex-felons who served their sentence in jail, etc. cannot vote for the rest of their lives. Although their isn't much reason for this law today, in the 19th century, after the civil war, and the freedom of slaves, Southern states did what ever they could to keep blacks from voting. With this law, they could arrest a black man and charge him, and he would not be able to vote. Unfortunately, many states have kept this law, and even some northern states have enacted this law. Now, many states argue that it purifies and make the vote more legit.

The felony cocaine conviction was expunged after he served a tour of community service in Houston.

The laws say a convicted felon cannot vote. They do not say anything about them running for president. I don't see your point.

Just a note: Look up how many congresspeople and senators have felony convictions. Also check to see how many have been charged with pedophilia and how many have bad credit. You'll be more than amazed and appalled at the kinds of low life we have in government.

Well, let's remember that Bill Clinton also smoked weed and dodged the draft, just like Bush did.

But yes, GWB was convicted of DUI in Kennebunkport, Maine in 1976.

Most of the Baby Boomers had some indiscretions back in the day. Drugs and war protests are just a couple of examples. And most of them regret those days.

What felony was George W. Bush convicted of? I don't really feel like reading Bush's entire biography to find out, and I don't really trust biographies from the Internet Movie Database concerning political figures.

Bush is not a convicted felon. Better question: How did someone not qualified become 44th President?

Gotta love it- Clinton smoked mj and Obama did cocaine and as he put it took any drug he could get his hands on and Bush is a criminal? Clinton was involved in multiple real estate fraud cases in AK (how many went to jail for him and Hillary?) and did not have, oh yea did have SA with that women. Oh, and Clinton was brought up on how many rape charges? I would say the liberals win in the dishonest and criminal category as it stands, hands down.

we have many criminals in congress. ted kennedy was responsible for a death, he is a known drunk and yet he serves.

patrick kennedy has checked himself in rehab AGAIN after driving drunk and crashing his car, yet he serves.

rangle is under investigation for corruption, yet he serves, so does Jefferson. there are many other incidents i could name.

old barney frank ran a prostitution ring and some say still is...yet he serves.

so you pick a 30 yr incident to bash bush. typical. clean up your own house before casting those stones.
