PC. for the following..
Reasons not to get a Mac.
1) Mac uses a subset of PC hardware but you pay significantly more for it.

2) Mac OS X less secure than either Windows Vista or Linux. Mac OS X was hacked in 30 min., 2. min, in 2006, 2008, 10 seconds in 2009.

7) Follow the logic:
Facts...
A) XP and Linux are faster than Vista, Mac
B) OS X runs faster with more memory,
C) Vista runs faster than OS X on Mac with 2+gb http://www.gadgetell.com/tech/comment/vista-runs-f...
logical deduction from facts above (
- CONCLUSION: A PC with Vista 2+gb runs faster than Mac OS X with lower specs but even with higher specs since a Mac uses the same components (so if B AND C are true this is a true statement, AND A would be even faster) as a PC .., remember Linux and XP run faster than Vista..
ANOTHER OPTION: Dual boot with LINUX - You don't need to choose Windows or Linux... have both at no extra cost..

It depends on what you're using them for.
If you're into editing music, videos, or photography Macs are the way to go. They offer the advantages of a simple, easy-to-use OS (Operating System). They do come with several cons, however. Macs cannot be customized or upgraded to the extent PC's can. They also have a much higher price tag then an equivalent PC. Another downside to Macs is that they won't run the majority of Computer games and have little third party support for software.
You should get a PC if you plan on playing games, using a large variety of software, don't plan on making or editing music or videos, or are on a budget. PC's offer the capability of almost complete customization. You can build your own PC using parts, whereas the same cannot be done with a Mac. PC's can also be tailored to fit your pricing needs, whereas Macs come in preconfigured expensive setups.

All depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a computer that can handle multimedia well and has a lot of apps for that kind of thing (music and video editing, etc). If you don't, buy a PC, you'll thank yourself in the future for learning how to use one since it is the standard in most of the world. People that use Macs complain too much that PC's suck and crash too much that while on the whole it's pretty much the same on both fronts. PC's are just a lot more versatile than Macs overall. Go for the PC

To answer this question properly, I would need to know what exactly you would be using a computer for.
If you are going to be doing serious video/music editing, CAD programs, digital art, etc. (things that require a powerful computer) a MAC may be the better alternative.
However, if you are into gaming and general computer use (internet, e-mail, word processor, etc.) a PC will suit you just fine. Many games do not support MAC so take this into consideration.

Its a well known fact that PCs crash more often than Mac.
and in my personal experience if you work while multiple programs running at the same time, PC performs poorly. You won't notice the difference in Mac.
And Mac comes with all the essential software and hardware no need to look for additional drivers and stuffs and headaches associated with it.

technically it depends on what your doing. however if your discussing oevrall investment it goes to pc. heres why: first of all macs cost more for the same hardware straight up (after all they have no competition only they make macs) secondly pcs can be cheaply upgraded to keep them modern over the course of a decade, weras an outdated mac must simply be replaced (because you cant open them). most things a mac can do a pc can do too, but it doesnt neccesarily do them as easily or as well (for example, windows xp vista and 7 support 2 screens, but they arent designed for it weras macintosh is). as far as tyhe rumor that macs cant crash or get viruses, those are both outdated and untrue (they were never true to begin with, but they had elements of truth in the 1990s). if you have to ask this question at all a pc is probably better for you. contrary to popular belief a macintosh is not "easier" to use, it is only different. which os you prefer is strictly up to you.

The MAC, its more expensive but there is no comparison to the PC. You'll never buy a PC again after getting a Mac!

PCs are by far much more universal (90% of the market), so they will have less issues with compatibility, and they are the only good gaming OS.
Mac is known for its good hardware, and innovative design, as well as their reputation for being a media platform.
I would go with a PC, because you can get a windows version of any Mac software, and you won't have comapatibility issues.

well i say macs are a little more pricy but you know that you are getting your moneys worth pc's on the other hand cost less but they aren't as good as a mac
so i'd say it's your call

A MAC is a PC. Your asking if MAC OS is better than Windows. It all a matter of oppinion.

PC without a doubt. Macs are toys.
