Why are my cycle lenghts all of a sudden out of wack?

Maybe yall can give me some input on this. My cycles were 31 days, then my last one turned into 37 days and AF was bright red for a couple of days. This cycle was 38 days this time, but AF is normal(dark red). I'm confused on why all of a sudden my cycles are out of wack and why my periods are funny. I took a test before my last AF when I was 3 days late and it was negative. IDK, but I liked knowing my cycles were a certain number of days instead of guessing when AF is going to show up again.

The best thing to keep in mind, when your cycle goes longer or shorter than you thought it would, is because of one thing... your monthly luteal phase will never change it's length. The luteal phase refers to the number of days from ovulation to the start of your period.

So, the real question you should ask yourself is why am I ovulating later than normal? Are you under stress? Change your eating habits? Even hanging out with a new girl in your life can throw off your cycle. If you are more aware of when you ovulate in your cycle, you should be able to tell that you will start your AF at a certain date.

For example, I have a 28-30 day cycle, depending on when I ovulate. I try and be aware of the day that I believe that I ovulated, that way I'm not thrown off by if it's early (always a bummer) or late (always worrisome... or exciting, if you're TTC) I have a 14 day luteal phase though, so I always know it will be about 14 days from the day I ovulated that my period will start.

If you need help tracking all of this stuff, I recommend the site www.mymonthlycycles.com

I have been using that site for over 4 years and it has helped me tremendously with knowing my cycle. It's even handy because you get to look back at the previous years (and you'd be surprised how much your body will repeat things year after year.)

But, I hope this helped somewhat.

You count quantity the 1st day of your era as day a million. so get a calendar and count quantity from then til the thirtieth September because it truly is the final day before your peiod all started... that provides you your cycle length. Your ovulation day is often 14 days (variety 12-sixteen) days before your next era so which you will possibly desire to have the flexibility to artwork that out too. additionally I recommend you check out mymonthlycycles internet site
