Hemingway character names for Hemingway kitties?

Interesting. Um... The Old Man and the Sea is my favorite so:

Santiago (one of the boys)

Pedrico (one of the boys)

Manolin (I know it is a male character, but I think it would be a good name for a female cat.)

YOU'RE SO LUCKY! I'm envious! I love going to Hemingway's house in Key West and playing with the kitties. They're the most adorable cats everrr. So for names... Lieutenant Frederic Henry (Farewell to Arms) because he's reminiscent of Hemingway when he was a soldier in Italy.

Rinaldi (Farewell to Arms), the flamboyant Italian physician in the book. He's an amazing, intricate character.

I've only read Farewell to Arms and those names are the only two that are really significant to me. Sorry I can't help you out further. :)

For the female I would suggest Lady Brett or Pilar. Pilar (I think) is the character that makes For Whom the Bell Tolls. If you are planning to neuter the males (and you should) then you ought to name one of them Jake or Jake Barnes. Romero (the bullfighter in The Sun Also Rises) would be a good choice for the other one.
