whats a good 90's model car thats good on gas mileage?
im now a full time student and travel 70miles a day(a lot more than my 15 miles a day in high school) ive decided my 91' 240sx project car should stay a project car and not also be a DD... my 240sx w/ a 3.50" bore piston is getting me about 19mpg...
me being 18 i am picky on the car... im a dude goint to school to become an automotive master technician... i need something 5 speed that has power when you need it... but has 25+ gas mileage... any idea on a 90's model car that meets my criteria?

Mustang V-6 with a stick. In fact, almost any car with a six and either 5 or 6 speed will get highway mileage in the mid to upper twenties, while still giving you good performance.

I agree with the s10, and pretty much anything honda. Also the acuras (integra, vigor, legend) would be a good choice. Anything toyota would probably be a good bet (corrola, tercel). Also I've heard a lot of good things about the Ford Focus - depends on if you like the look or not.
For that killer mix of good gas mileage and power/pick up, i gotta go with acura. The 90's models are reliable and peppy

the older chevy s10s any year, if it has a 4 cylinder engine in it with a 5 speed trans you could probably get a good 30 -35 mpg out of it and if you want more power you can get the s10 with the v6 in it but you will loose some mpg you will probably end up getting about 25-30 mpg with the v6 model that is with a 5 speed trans in it

Choose any Honda Civic or Accord, they have plenty of power and MPG.

Civic or Accord with a 5 speed. They are responsive enough if you don't have the AC on.
