Can you tell me why everything tastes odd?

you had a fever, an inflammation process;; these "invaders" produce toxins & we also produce substances in our bodies to fight off these toxins;; you also have swelling in the mucous membranes, but not necessarily the same throughtout ea area & that's why everything tastes so nasty when we're sick;; remember that the taste buds are "receptors";; the "link" has been affected by the illness & the bodies response to this illness.. hope it helps...

You probably still have tonsilitis...which makes stuff taste nasty. See an Ear,Nose and Throat doc. You could have some puss in your throat which adds to the icky taste...The other thing that changes your taste is pregnancy. I'm sure you are not prego, but you might want to check if u think u need to. Pregnancy also lowers your immune system. That is how I found out I was prego...Good Luck

Have you switched soda's?? the sweetener in diet soda can cause a funny taste in your mouth. You still may have some congestion that you are unaware of, give it a day or so, and maybe use a saline nasal spray to help clean everything out.

I was going to say sinus's but since you said it has nothing to do with that.. maybe it's just bacteria from being sick distorting the taste in your mouth or that coating you get on your tounge when your sick. I dunno, hope you feel better though. :)
