You might want to read some of Alan Soble's work; he sees sexuality in philosophy.

Long ago, he and my husband were on the same faculty. Soble, as I recall, was one of those guys who talks to your breasts instead of your face. Obviously he was doing research.

Really, he is a respected philosopher whose area of specialty is the philosophy of sex.

I would say yes there is a relation between them, in that you really need to be in touch with yourself to immerse yourself in both subjects. Dangerous and maybe quixotic, I would think, to mix the two together, mind you; but each requires in-depth awareness. Maybe philosophy even more so than sexuality, but even that may be pushing it.

    Everything is related to sex.

How is philosophy directly related to sex? I have no clue.

Now if you're talking about hetero/****/bi/pan/trans-sexuality, while I'm sure there are some modern correlations regarding philosophy, I don't believe it is related in any solid way.

If you have a philosophy of sexuality, then there certainly is!

Aristotle wrote much on the different kinds of love: Eros (Romantic), Philios (Brotherly love), and Agape (Paternal love for God)

the philosophical view of love begins with the question of where love begins and where it ends.

Plato wrote that desire is a common way for human beings to search for transcendent beauty that goes beyond this life on earth; that the beauty we see on Earth is sought because it reminds us of the true beauty that lies in forms and ideas and in truth.

particularly relating the image in front of us to the contemplation of beauty in itself.
