What does pregnancy FEEL like?

I don't mean everything about throwing up, or morning sickness, or feeling fat... I'm interested in knowing what it felt like to have something growing inside of you and how that made you feel.

Thanks.

It's kind of hard to explain. I tried explaining to my mother who has had 6 children, and even she didn't get it.

It just felt like a presence, I guess. Like my body was realizing there was something inside me that had never been there before.

That was just before 6 weeks, when I first started getting symptoms of pregnancy.

And the first time I felt my son moving inside me... unreal.

  • Exciting! I actually forget sometimes, not for long just like an oh yeah sometimes.. It feels full in my abdomen, leaning on the counter is uncomfortable, I'm not showing a lot but I can tell, my belly is hard. You feel the baby moving a lot, a kick once in a while, and you can tell by teh way your belly looks how she is moving. I love it, it's so exciting and such a blessing!

  • It is very overwhelming. Its like, do I really have another person growing inside of me. And for 9 months you have to protect it, everything you do, where you breathe, what you eat, how you move. And everything that goes on during the pregnancy you feel directly responsible for. Its even more amazing looking at that baby, and seeing features that you have, that they now have. Absolutely amazing

  • its interesting really, but when you feel those first little movements you fall in love with someone that you have never met.

being a mother has changed my life in a positive way.

i never knew you can love some one so much. it makes me want to cry.

    i was 15 when i got pregnant.

i didnt expect it. nobody did. im a straight A student. in AP classes.

i would spend most of the day answering questions by all the teenage girls at school. but mstly telling them that its a great experience but they are better off if they wait.

being pregnant made me feel mature.it really made me grow up

Awesome for a lack of a better word...

There is actually no words too describe it...felt like a miracle. Ya, women had been having babies for centuries, but when it's you..it is nothing that you have ever felt in the world.

To feel your baby move, kick, punch, hiccup inside of you is just amazing... I soooo miss being pregnant. I look at my babies now and wonder...."How the hell did they ever fit in me"....lol..time goes by so fast....it's unbelievable that they were so tiny at one time.

It feels weird at first...But after feeling the kicks and the movement I just absolutly feel connected to my baby girl. I already love her and I havent even held her. I can't wait to be able to hold her.

But sometimes pregnancy kinda sucks...Just the whole waking up to go to the bathroom at 2 a.m. then 5 a.m. then 7 a.m. I just dont get alot of sleep. Also I feel very big! Like very Big! I can't wait to fit into my old clothes.

It's kind of creepy to know another organism is parasitically growing inside of you like an alien.

Feeling it move is really freaky! I can't describe the sensation though. It's not comfortable, at least it wasn't for me.

Spiritually, I would have dreams about my daughter. she told me her name. that is her name to this day. I came to find out after she was born it was a family name on her fathers side. 3 aunts all named the same thing.

Its the best unexplainable feeling in the world to have a baby growing from start to finish inside of you and to know that without you that baby couldnt have made it. Its a feeling of accomplishment and is so rewarding.

  • To be honest you kinda forget about it until your big enough to not notice it, or the baby starts moving and kicking. It's really amazing how it works actually but as previously commenter very overwhelming.

At first I was scared because it was just different. I've never been pregnant. After my first doctor's appointment and I saw my little babe on screen I was very excited. I have told many co-workers and friends because I'm just... happy. I want to meet this babe inside of me and see how beautiful she/he is.
