What oil to use on a corkscrew?

My corkscrew isn't moving as easily as I would like and I suspect it needs oiling. Any advice on the best kind of oil to use?

Use a potable oil (an oil that is safe to consume). So, any type of vegetable oil or mineral oil would work.

I would use some kind of cooking oil, and then when it has eased up wash in hot soapy water.

Any remaining oil may contaminate the wine if they were to mix some how.
