Without intuition, creativity and an unconventional style, most of what we call science would not exist today. The "art" of science is what makes discovery, invention and understanding possible.

Art is a very technical skill requiring understanding of tools, media, visual and brain function and the history and philosophies of art. Without this "Science" an artist is hopelessly lost and does not know what they are attempting to convey nor do they have the slightest grasp of what they are communicating.

So which do I respect more, the "science" of art or the "art" of science? I'd have to go with the "art" of science because I am the "artsy" type. For many, the 'science" of art is just technique, which is why I find many scientists creative and poets and painters hackneyed.

Art. I love science, but art is unlike anything else. You can explain science, but you cannot explain art. It's just amazing. It comes from the mind and not fact. It shows how a person thinks, by what kind of art they like. It's just a thing of it's own, which is why it deserves respect.

Science will bring new knowledge that will likely kill new actions that would have been committed if that new knowledge was absent. Art can be used in the same way as Science to evince new ideas and beliefs, but art is at its best when it's enhancing the unexplainable phenomena of life. Science offers explanations to the phenomena of life; art respects it enough to celebrate it. I respect art more because of its aesthetic qualities

  • I respect both, as they both deserve it, but I prefer art over science. I really love art.

    Art

Its not bound by rules and regulations....on canvas or note pad anything is possible.....there is no limitations of what you can paint/draw etc.....reality does not matter.....it can go as far as you let your imagination wander......but science...is limited to what we have currently discovered and what scientists accept as universal truths.....

(i.e. in art a time machine is possible with a little imagination.....in reality or science it does not exsist...yet)

you have to respect both equally. some people are talented in one so they like it more than the other. but both are worthy of respect. i personally respect science more, but if God gave someone artistic ability, then i respect the ability God gave them and think they should use it to the fullest. thats what i think, i might be wrong. if God says one is more important than by all means it is. but my opinion as of right now is that they are equal because God gave us all talents in different areas

It is ridiculous enough that you actually put up that question.
