Worse. There would be no hope for life after death. I'd probably commit suicide.

I believe it would be worse. The only reason some people have any morals whatsoever is because of religion. Think about how the world would be if no one were afraid of going to hell. And how people had no hope for an afterlife of eternity with their loved ones.
I don't know if I believe it or not, but I am certaintly glad many people do.

no religion exists on any place still today . religion lives in the hearts of people ,not on any place . is there any area with true proofs ,where all people are truely religious from heart? if yes ,then the answer is -better place ,otherwise worse .

The world would be better without religion. I mean without this opium of the people not to be replaced by another one, any other irrational institution.

i think people use religion to have hope. if something goes wrong they pray for the good that will come later. i dont know if it'll be better or worse but it does give people a reason to believe or act the way they do.

Although, some will argue that there would be more tolerance and less wars if there was no religion, you must also look at the positive aspects it has contributed in the world of arts, laws and society.
I would say it's a tossup.

'Religion is the opium of the masses.' -Karl Marx.
Why not take that literally and actually substituting religion with opium and morphine just to see what kind of improvements or disasters would come of it.
