If I break a minor rule at a state park, is that a crime?

Update:

I ask because I was at a park today and some jerk went and complained that I was doing something I wasn't supposed to (but had been doing for 10 years and knew dozens of people who did the same). The very silly and stupid park employee came and demanded that I stop. I began wondering exactly what this person could have done had I simply refused. I'm certain that the police could be called but I further wondered whether or not I could be charged with a crime.

It could be, but probably not.

It depends on the state, on the park, and the rule.

Depends on what the rule is.

Running by the pool? Probably not.

Consuming alcohol if it's prohibited? Yes.

    Probably more like an infraction.

Like breaking a minor rule on a state road, you get a ticket, must pay a fine, but there is no jail involved unless you ignore it, which is a crime.

REALLY< it depends on your state............period.......

If you were charged with a crime, you would know it. Don't tell people you might have a crime on your record when in fact you don't.
