Do atheists believe in sin?

If Atheists don't believe in God, why are they commenting on sin? Sin doesn't exits, it's like pixie dust to them. Yet you will find on R&S so many atheists commenting on what is or is not a sin?

Update:

I have seen numerous answers that specifically state, this or that is not sin, and they sign their answer with - Atheist, lol

Update 2:

Next time somone posts - Is Homosexuality a sin, you will note many Atheists say that it is not :)

As an Atheist I believe in sin; just not in the Biblical sense.

Case in Point; I believe that ramming ones Religion down other peoples throats is a sin against Mankind.

Research shows that the reason humans struggle with emotion to find equitable solutions is pinpointed the region of the brain called the insular cortex, or insula, which is also the seat of emotional reactions.

The fact that the brain has such a robust response to unfairness shows that sensing unfairness is a basic evolved capacity.

The emotional response to unfairness pushes people from extreme inequity and drives them to be fair. This observation shows our basic impulse to be fair isn't a complicated thing that we learn.

It therefore fully illustrates that all humans have morals controlled by the brain and that Christians are entirely wrong to try and claim morals as their own!!!!

But Christians found a way round it!!

Government statistics show that christians are vastly over represented in prisons for sexual, violent and fraudulent crime!!

The Catholic church is paying millions in compensation for the sex/pedophile crimes of their priests alone!!

Christians are vastly over represented in the divorce courts!!

Christians invented the concept of sin and then the idea that you could sin, ask forgiveness, get pardoned and start with a clean sheet!!

So no surprise that they are so expert at it is it?!!!

Never heard an Atheist use the term sin unless quoting.

No. Sin is offense to the Christian god. Atheists do not believe in any god and can not commit any sin.

Sin is a subjective concept that varies from person to person. I believe in the idea of right and wrong, yes, but I understand that what I consider to be right/wrong won't necessarily be the same as what others believe.

Buddha said that every human being is born with basic goodness. I believe his explanation makes more sense than the Christian one, where the "original sin" concept is about keeping people under control thru fear, guilt and shame.

Rule of thumb: If an atheist asks if something is or is not a sin, it's probably a joke, like mustardbation.

No because the definition of an atheist is that they have no spiritual belief whatsoever, catholics believe in sin.

Nope. Sin is something used by believers who want you to feel guilty for being human.
