why is life not so simple as it was in the 90s 80s etc.?

Life will be always same.. when we put it in a small time frame it looks simple.. Even they had day to day problems.

I don't know how old you are. But YES, a total yes.

It's alot more stressful, and it's funny that with all these gadgets and techno, supposedly designed to make life simpler, it seems to have the opposite effect.

I am old fashioned with alot of things. Even though I use the computer. I still write letters by hand. I still read a book. I like paper. LOL I hate cell phones. I have one for emergencies only. I can't stand the things but they have their use.

Being happy is a choice, and I don't think it matters what decade you are living in and what the circumstances, but I get what you are saying.

I get depressed and I have to make that choice to change my attitude because yeah, things seem to be moving too quick, too fast, too automated, people don't have time, don't take time to listen, to talk, or just to sit and be. In my old town where I use to live, it is not safe anymore to walk around at night, it use to be a great hang out place. Crime actually increased. I was disappointed to see the changes.

The roads are more congested, and the solution? build more roads, more lanes, wider lanes.

Building and inventing, to make bigger and better, new and improved society. It isn't though, it's lacking in substance, it is lacking of peace and simplicity.

I think some things are easier. Technology does make some things easier. It's a tough call. Because then there is more to break down, and things have to be repaired, I buy something, and I tell you it doesn't last five minutes.

Also maybe you are feeling the result of the recession, and also the war on terrorism, the government changes over the past few years.

It creates an atmosphere.

Because america is no longer innovative. back in the 80's America was the innovative they were making all types of things. But not for some reason i guess because of Bush it killed America's spirit which effects the entire planet because the world follows the U.S.

Everybody wants to bling bling now where as before people were all doing different things. I feel for this new generation of kids this world is in a bad state and they will inherit it if we all don't make a change now

Do you relatively think of that the eighty's have been all that large? with the fee of AIDS skyrocketing? with drugs and hippies? you basically would desire to the right thank you to stay at the same time with it sluggish or you will pass over your total existence, the previous is the previous no remember how plenty you pass over it or you think of you pass over it. no longer all and sundry has a toddler at sixteen, you basically gotta be attentive to who you walk with and perceive what you pick, yet regretting the previous won't get you everywhere extra helpful, cuz i'm tremendously particular even the single contained in the eighty's regretted the previous or maybe have been finding forward to our days the place human beings may well be "possible unfastened" and open-minded

It could be because the generation of kids get worser and dirtyer no offense to anybody though.

Or it could be that you just miss the old days or liked the old days much better? Enjoy life though.

I feel like this started in the 90's. I cannot speak as to the relative simplicity of the eighties.

As society evolves, its not always for the better. Now we have different solution to the same problems, which end up creating more problems. All society "advancements" have this basic nature.

I know right! The economy is bad, people are losing jobs, music is just a seller's market, ... ugh. :-( Now 20 people gotta squeeze into the same bathtub!...so it ain't all bad :-P
