How does one accept her flaws without feeling inferior?

And say this girl doesn't think she's unattractive at all, in the aspects of physical attractiveness and personality, but she has a physical flaw (or maybe two) that she believes are detrimental to sustaining a long relationship. These flaws cannot be helped either. What are some tips on helping this girl accept her flaws without feeling inferior or weak when she thinks of them?

Update:

Thanks for answering. I actually thought I wasn't going to get any answers. lol. Thanks again. However, I don't think many of you understand. Many of you say to she needs to 'accept the flaw and realize no one is perfect.' I know that. For me, that's basic psychology and I oftentimes say that to people that need help, but only in terms in combating shyness. In this case, the girl isn't shy . . . basically, she's aware that she isn't perfect. If she thought otherwise, she wouldn't consider her problem a flaw. You have to understand just because it's a flaw does *not* mean it's the same flaw. So that leads to my original question: if this girl has a flaw that many others don't share, how does she accept it without feeling inferior?

If you feel weak or inferior about your flaws, that is your issue you need to get over, and I don't think advice over Y!A is going to get you there.

We all have baggage though, or something wrong with us. No one is perfect. I doubt the people you are going to be with will be perfect, so I doubt they expect the same from you.

She should realize noones perfect, and our flaws are what make us unique individuals. Everyone has a flaws and insecurities, so get them in check and live your life.

she should accept that her flaws make her who she is. no body wants to love some one who's perfect, that's no fun. she should find a way to stare at her flaws, and eventually she will learn that what she sees, is her, and its really not as bad as it seems. its what makes her different. and as far as a relationship goes, let it come to you, don't dwell on every cutie who winks at you, put your flaws out there first; if he cant love them, then he doesn't deserve you.

  • If it's real bad, I would recommend therapy (to this girl).

It's what I've once considered. Not for looks, but for troubles of something else. It's not for so called 'crazy' people either. Just for handling problems on a more serious step.

Take your flaws and start telling people they're punk rock. Always worked for me.

Think of the flaws as...as not flaws. such as a mole on someoens face. it has beauty to it, like all things of matter do. Find the beauty in these flaws, and learn to accept them. :]

    good luck
