Can eating 1 meal a day and working out 2 times a day make me lose weight?
i eat 1 meal a day (usually dinner). i can't eat breakfast, it makes, me sick. but i do 50 situp, 50 crunchies, 20 left and right situps, 20 leglifts, and hang from a pullup bar and lift my legs (horizontal) for 20 seconds twice a day. i'm going to a water park in 2 weeks, and i dont' want to look like a lump and frighten people. will this work. i also have soccer 2 times a week for an hour and a half.
i also do 20 squats and jump rope for a couple minutes and i do those twice a day

i'm guilty of only eating one big meal at night ('big' meaning i make up for not eating breakfast and lunch!). i'm not really motivated to 'work out' yet, but i'm active enough. i own - and wear - bikinis to the pool. i think of food as "fuel", and i don't put fuel in my car until it is very close to empty. just like when the "get gas idiot" lights up on the dash, your stomache will "growl" at you with a slow growing intensity - that is when it's time to eat or refill your tank. it's working for me!

Wow, i'm a weightlifter , so i'm more of an expert in gaining muscle, but it doesn't take a nutritionist to tell you that only eating 1 meal a day will actually make you gain more weight!
What you need to do is keep the exercise up (which is always good for you) and eat 5 or 6 very small meals a day. What this does is speed up your metabolism so that you can burn more calories. In contrast 1 meal a day can halt you metabolism (your body will only burn a lot of calories around the time of that meal), where as many small meals will speed it up.

I know how you feel, I went through the same thing, but starving yourself is the worst thing you could possibly do to yourself. Your metabolism will slow down, so you will end up kinda having the opposite affect than You want ( you wont gain weight, but when you eat normally or more; you will).
I have gone through a phase of hardly eating anything and now that I am healthy, I realized how horrible that was for my body and metabolism. Don't ruin yourself like that.
Eating breakfast actually helps. I never eat it and my parents suddenly started making me eat it (this was before the not eating much) and I ate normally the rest of the day and i lost weight.

ummm i think u should try 2 eat breakfast a lil bit because it will give u more energi for the rest of the day and then eat a good porshon lunch not 2 small or big (but try 2 eat less when plying soccer its gona make u vomit) happen 2 me B4but still eat righ if u dont ur gonna not gana have much enrgi..... and u shoudent eat dinner if ur in a diet because when u have dinner in a wile u have to go 2 sleep righ? so u wont burn of what chu eat 4 dinner

Actually no! Skipping meals is bad for you. When someone skips meals it puts your body in "survival" mode and your metabolism will slow down..so when ever you do eat, your body will store it all as fat and you will not burn off calories as you normally do. To lose weight in a healthy way, you need to eat smaller meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going and that will cause your body to burn more calories. Sounds like you're doing pretty good on the exercise, but I would suggest you eat more than once a day.

It won't work unless you eat healthy too. I feel your pain about breakfast I don't like it eather but u will lose the weight faster if u go on a diet plan and eat healthy smaller meals more times a day. Just eat healthy and cut out sweets and junk food and u should be good. You need to eat it speeds up your metabolism and u can burn the calories and lose the weight faster. I am not sure if eating one meal a day is all that healthy but if you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables through out the day then that would help a lot. Looks like you are headed in the right direction as far as losing weight.

To work out properly you need carbs and proper nutrition, which you won't get enough of from one meal. Or, at least, not enough to last through a day.
Besides, eating only 1 meal will put your metabolism into the toilet, and that actually causes you to gain weight. It's healthier to eat a number of smaller meals (ie. 5) over the course of the day actually (but make sure you eat enough - anorexia isn't beauty).

Whoa!!! Believe it or not, that is NOT healthy. You need to eat more and exercise less. 20 minutes every other day excluding your soccer. Right now you are physically hurting your body and hurting yourself mentally by not eating right.

Keep the workout, eat more. You have to store food in your body three times a day to stablize your body and gain the required nutrition to function properly. Believe me, it will help a lot.
