I hope we all ask philosophical questions to know as that is the point of philosophy. I wouldn't ask a question unless I'm actually looking for an answer.

Unfortunately, It's easily possible that people might ask a question to attract attention. This is clearly a sign of ignorance.

But, of course we do want people to pay attention to our questions otherwise they would not be answered.

The supreme goal of asking questions is to get answers. Why did you ask this question to us?

We ask philosophical questions to learn and in so doing we must attract attention. If we have a belief, it is desirable to test it on another to see if there are obvious flaws in it.

I ask them to know, but I know people who have asked them to attract attention.

Maybe sometimes I asked to know the reaction or to make propaganda, but never only to attract attention.
