Simple yes or no ok. Is the law of not being able to take pictures in the airport due to 9/11?

it is possible since you might be able to take pics of certain security procedures. Like where certain things are located so that someone can plan a crime or to sabotage something.

I have never heard of a law forbidding pictures from being taken in an airport. I've flown many times since 9/11 and have never seen or heard a notice that it was illegal and they are announcing security rules ALL the time.
EDIT: Thanks for the clarifying email. Were you taking pictures near the security gates? If so, they don't want you to do this because it could help someone try to circumvent security.

there's a good chance that 9/11 caused that.just like Pearl Harbor the nation has to be prepared for more terrorist attacks.
