Would you rather your child accept God and act good all of their life, or would you rather them reject God and?

then go to prison for life for murder or rape, and await the death penalty, all the while an atheist?

The converse of this question was asked previously. Should be interesting, if the same people answer both post.

I would rather see my children accept God but people have to realize that even though a child might accept God. It does not mean that they will always be good of all the listed things above in your questian can still happen this is what we call free will we have the choise on how we live our lives christian or non christian, and Satan has a lot to do with the situation we find ourselfs in,

in the same hand God works through suffering and adversity to teach us our need to depend on him. Because the problem isn't merely misinformation about God, the solution requires more than simply learning that God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. Since the problem is deeply-rooted self-sufficiency, God works to "break" this through adversity.

Often (like Jacob), he just lets us reap the consequences of our poor choices (ALIENATION WITH ESAU >> BROKEN RELATIONSHIPS DUE TO YOUR SIN; LOST JOBS DUE TO YOUR IRRESPONSIBILITY). Sometimes, he intervenes with specific discipline (LABAN; WRESTLING >> PEOPLE IN THE WAY OF YOUR AGENDA; SICKNESS?, RELATIONAL & CAREER DISAPPOINTMENTS; CONFRONTATION & DISCIPLINE BY OTHERS). He loves you enough to "take you to the mat."

Even then, you have a choice. God won't make you submit to him, but he will polarize you. Either you harden in your commitment to control your own life, and deepen your suspicion about God's goodness--or you admit your inadequacy and submit yourself to God, and experience his goodness and wisdom.

GOSPEL: Conversion is not only saying "I'll take the free gift you offer me through Christ"--but also saying "I am willing to bow to you and submit to your leadership." This is why coming to Christ is painful (ME), because it hurts the ego to admit you can't take care of your own life. But it is a pain that is worthwhile because it leads the way home . . .

    FREE WILL

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:13).

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures (James 1:18).

And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul (Acts 16:14).

The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will (Prov. 21:1).

For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy (Rom. 9:15-16).

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved… In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will (Eph. 1:3-6, 9).

I don't believe that the acceptence or rejection of your God has any determinative influence in this situation.

I rejected the Christian God at the age of 13, and I've led a pretty good life. I'm still married to the same women, 21 years later, I have five great kids, one of whom is serving his country in combat. I've never been to jail, let alone prison. I make fair money, and work at a job I love, and am very satisfied, overall, with my life.

So...how does this factor in to your assumptions?

Hi... I was so blessed to find God when my child was young. We both went to church to learn together {SDA}. It was the best time of my whole life because I knew my child was learning to love God with me. He is a missionary and devotes his whole life sharing God....and here am I doing the same the best way I can. I use to be in prison ministries and believe me, you will want your children to get all the opportunities to know the Creator so their life will be a blessing to you,God and their own family. Maybe you choose not to follow the Lord, but don't make your children suffer out there is the world with Satan and all of his evilness, give the ones you love a chance. Raise a child in the way he should go and when he is older he will not depart from it. Give Him that choice. The older you get with out knowing the Creator the harder it is to turn to Him with all the baggage you are hauling around. Know from experience but God took me in any way. Love in Him..missleslie

I am a Christian myself, however, i do not subscribe to the typical or over the top Catholic Christian culture that has been bred and believed to be the proper way of living in the modern day. Religion is simply a guide as the bible is simply a metaphor in every single way. It is a guide for those who seek it. A guide for those who desire guidance. A guide for perhaps the weak in mind or spirit or whatever it be. And God himself...what is this ACCEPTING God? would it not be embracing the possibility that there is a higher power?.....im sorry. i believe ive strayed from the question youve asked.

i would rather my child live a life of devotion to his own life and the life of the people he cares for. i would rather he live a good life of happiness and development. i would want him to live his life to the fullest, to make the most of it. if he chooses to believe in God and go in his supposed pathway, then so be it. if he chooses not to believe in him, then so be it. he can live his life as full and perhaps even fuller than most of the stereotypical God acceptors whom you have pointed out.

I think my IQ just went down 40 points from reading this question.

    Religion does not equal morality.

I like how you think that all atheists rape and kill. That's funny.
