    - Check if none of all the possible volume settings

    - if you have auto sensing sound card, make sure the sound card detects the right apparatus at the right port.

    - Check the control panel Sounds and Audio devices if at the tab Volume and there the button advanced, if the right speaker system is selected

    - Check the control panel Sounds and Audio devices if at the tab "audio"the right default device is selected

Hmmm... If it's not producing any sound at all, I would check your volume sliders first (double click the speaker by the clock) to make sure nothing is muted or turned down (except for microphone, which should be muted)... If that's not the case, get into your device manager (right-click My Computer, Properties, Hardware, then Device Manager) and see if you have a red X or yellow triangle next to your soundcard... If so, you will need to either roll back the driver, or reinstall it... Restart, and you should have sound.

    Good Luck!

Select proper hardware profile for your account.

Go to control panel, and select proper hardware profile so that your account also has sound card.
