Which car to bring to Korea?
I am authorized to bring a car to Korea and I was wondering which of my choices (or something else) was the best:
1. Lexus ES 350 (very comfortable and good MPG)
2. Toyota Tacoma 4x4 (off-roading)
3. Mercedes ??? (comfortable and good for resale value in Korea)
Thoughts?
Brave enough to drive in Korea? Seoul wasn't 1/2 as tough as Bangkok, Port-Au-Prince, Buenos Aires, or Baghdad . . . funny comment though!
Snobbish? Not really. Ever sat in a '07 Lexus? It's very nice. The Mercedes would just be to sell (Koreans love European crap), but I guess with the won low it doesn't make a lot of sense (thx MCF).
No, Korea is not a backwater, it has the 15th largest economy in the world. But after telling me my orders are incorrect, you credibility is pretty much nil.
Just curious if 4x4 was needed at all in Korea. Thx so far!

I'm sure your fellow soldiers would love to see you with a Lexus or a Mercedes. Just a bit snobbish. Off-roading? Where do you think you are going and for what reason. South Korea is a poor country and you are basically in a war zone. Finally who says you can take a vehicle to Korea? I don't think that is correct.
