How do I stop a itchy rash?
My neck is red and I went to the hospital today and they said it was a heat rash. The things they told me to do is NOT helping me at all. Any remedies would be nice.
Did you use regular lotion because I used Vaseline moisturizing lotion and it didn't work.

I get heat rashes sometimes to, just not on my neck. Dissolve some baking soda like the arm and hammer kind in cold water like refrigerate cold water, splash it on the rashy area and Pat dry, resist the urge to wipe or rub the area. only pat with clean soft cloth. If that's not doing it for you there is cream for dyper rash seariously it can help.
Drink lots of water, if it's total hot where you are and you sweat alot, like I do, have a Gatorade sports drink.

Benedryl and ice in a wet towel or facecloth on the neck helps. because a heat rash is when your skin is burning up, just like a fever and when you have a shower, right before you get out, turn the water to as cold as you can stand it, and cool your neck down, because the hot or warm water will irritate the skin. And remember to keep out of the sun for at least afew days. and be patient! the skin will take at least a week to fully heal. and if this doesn't work, I went to a skin doctor and he gave me a cream to cool the skin down.

ice pack maybe?
basically just keep your hands off it i think is the best idea haha, but cold would be the logical remedy....
things like really watered down toothpaste or weak mouthwash could give it a really cool feeling, also mouthwash is fairly antibacterial which is always good for a rash, but nothing too strong is what i mean by watered down, it could burn it, but i reckon try a little bit of toothpaste, if nothing else has helped haha good luck!
