Would the big mean Harley bikers beat me up if I rode my Triumph Bonneville to the bar my band is playing at?
My band is playing at a fund raiser and we plan on setting up in the afternoon. It's supposed to be a nice day and I would like to ride my bike there. then go for a cruise after the sound check. They are doing a Poker run(whatever that is) so there will be a lot of bikers coming and going all day. So will they beat me up and kick over my bike or will they take pity on me because I'm just a dumbass drummer? Plus I'm just a geek will the biker chicks spit on me and call me names. And will they cut off my tattoo like some sidewalk commandos told me they would, because it has a Battle Flag, skull and crossbones, and airborne wings, with the word Outlaw over it?
ok guys sorry bout the question and yeah i wrote it to sound like bart but I am not bart i do play in a band ride a triumph and have a tattoo like the one I discribed. It's just all the Harley bashing kinda got to me . Choppy you really hurt my feelings I have a lot of respect for you due to the fact that you're a one legged rider. Takes a pair to get back in the saddle after the kind of accident you had. I just cant figure out why people are so down on Harleys. I think they're great bikes, I just ordered a special edition HD Barbie doll for a good friend who rides a Harley, and have the 12 1/25 scale Franklin Mint Harleys. I ride a Triumph because of some fond memories I have of a 69 Bonny that an Army buddy let me ride while he was away on a "mission". Please forgive me good people for sounding like bart I won't do it again. Guess I need to quit smokin that stuff it makes me do stupid things. Rock n Roll Keep the rubber side down
I think "will work for food" and Rod Knocker are the only ones who got it. And like the rest of you said there is good and bad in all types of folk. And btw Rangerclaude it was my warrant officer that gave me the handle "outlaw" but then that's another story and again I apologize for the ruckus
SKYDOG will be playing Rockin Barroom Blues at Mojo's Pub in Apex NC Sat 25 all proceeds go to Keith Marriot who lost everything he owned to a fire. Last card out at 2:00pm Last card in in at 6;00 pm

Real bikers will accept you for who you are, a rider is a rider, we all have to deal with the same sh1t out there. Only the weekend warrior nob HD riders would have a problem with your bike, but they aren't real bikers, they just try and act and dress the part, so nothing to worry about. Have fun! :)

I play with some guys in Cary and I am on my way to Apex right now to pick up a Tele FMT. Shoot me an email sometime, we have open jams on a regular basis. I'm actually a drummer (my avatar name probably gave that away already), but I play a little guitar as well. As far as your question, I was at a bike show at Curley's in Winston last year and there was an awesome Bonny there that every Harley rider was drooling over. Very cool bikes. Have a good gig tomorrow man. Byron, that was funny by the way. Us drummers get no respect. What do you call a guy that hangs out with musicians? A drummer.

No I really dont think you will get your keester stomped. A lot of us harley riders respect the owners of British bikes as well as other types. Just dont disrespect other riders and all will be fine. I think you have watched too much TV . Anybody that ownes a Scooter, no matter the type is cool in my book. It's all about the freedom of the road man. Don't get all hyped up about harley owners being some type of bad people. Of course they're are people that are plain and simply ignorant that think you have to be a Harley owner. Just let it be and respect all your fellow riders. And you will get the same respect from them. Good luck on your riding and always keep the shiny side up !!! And the greasy side to the road!!!

Most of the hardcore bikers I know have a Triumph hidden int the back. Some even ride them around from time to time. In fact the head of the local bike club here has at least five Triumphs (some have been chopped heavily) and a few other models.

I knew who you were before i saw choppys answer, but i'll answer anyway; the triumph is a cool bike. I bet most any bike you ride there would go unnoticed. big mean harley riders? look i can truthfully say to you that there are some bad sob's in my state and i don't drop names. all i can say is they are cool to me when i'm around but that don't make me bada$$, that just makes me (a) nobody that don't threaten them. -you get what i'm laying down here?
if you were to be around the real thing you would piss yourself wouldn't you?
go and listen to your favorite band. you ain't gotta lie about tattoo's and being a drummer (dumb@$$ or not) or having a triumph. you are not fooling anyone: if you were so much the outlaw you wouldn't need to ask this question and this is the LAST place you would if you did need to.

A classic Bonny should be well received. Nice ride, BTW.
Get a 'Billy Jack" style indian/cowboy hat to complete the look - the older bikers will REALLY get off on that.

Go. Have fun. You got nothing to worry about. The biggest word is Respect. Show that to everyone and you will receive the same.

I do believe this is another persona of Bart. Look at the way this question was asked.
No they wont, unless you act like a tool.

I wouldn't worry about it. Bikers are some of the nicest people around now a days.

Awwww, I don't think so. Most "bikers" I know are really great poeple. Hell I rode my Yamaha to Sturgis, SD twice and never got beat up.
