Why don't fried chicken and fried eggs taste the same?

They are just different versions of the same thing. Shouldn't they both taste like chicken?

They are not different versions of the same thing. One is an unfertilized chicken embryo and the other is the muscle of a grown chicken. They don't taste the same because they aren't the same, fried or not.

Does tuna salad taste like potato salad? They are both salads. Not the same at all, just like the chicken and the egg.

liquid chicken doesn't taste like solid chicken. Hence they will always taste differently, no matter how you cook them.
