only wash them by hand in cold water dry on the line and iron on a low setting .

Yes, silk can be ironed. Use the right temperature and do not use steam but use a water spritzer with a fine mist. Spray the silk with a fine mist of water and iron on the silk setting (medium).

hand wash all silk in warm water rinse several time in warm water you can iron silk but only with a warm iron the best way is to put it on a hanger and steam it the creases will just fall out

It isn't advisable. My mother made the mistake of ironing a silk bathrobe and she easily burned a hole right through it. Silk melts easily. Hang them up and wait til they hang out. Or after they are dry, put something heavy like a tome or something-leave it for several hours.

Silk wrinkles so easily....I would pick one of the lowest settings on the iron and go to it. Usually the iron says what the settings are.
