Would Schumi make a cameo?

The setting's perfect, nothing much to lose, he can have fun like he always keeps saying, invaluable test data for Ferrari. A few stints and then Massa comes back.

And for once we will know for sure the outcome of Schumi vs Hamilton!

Its possible, he'd be far more useful than Badoer!! I hope they don't rush Massa back in, he's not in a championship fight, let him recover in peace. He should make his home GP a deadline to return IMO.

I'm no Schumi fan but I bet he'd p*ss all over Kimi's lap times almost immediately.

Yes, I wondered that and asked a similar question earlier.

For this race though, Ferrari will just have to stick with Kimi, as Massa did the Quali and so neither Badoer nor Gene would be eligible to drive in the race. For the subsequent races this season, if Schumi were to make a cameo, he would have to be a registered tester for Ferrari, I would think.

But would Schumi be interested in driving the car which is going to get beaten by Brawn, Red Bull and possibly others like McLaren and Williams? If you are going to make a come back, you would want to do it in style. Yo don't want to be like Villeneuve in Renault back in 2004....

Massa's situation appears to be more serious than we all initially thought. It would be a great goal for him to come back for his home GP at Interlagos, but even that might be unfeasible,

Willi Weber, Schumi's manager, has today denied any possibilities of Michael making a F1 return, even temporarily. So, the dream option is out.

Aside from the test drivers Badoer and Gene`, Ferrari could hire someone else. It happened in 1999 when Schumi broke his leg. They overlooked their official test driver at that time (Badoer) and hired Mika Salo. It could happen again this year. And who is available? Funny as it sounds, but Massa's manager, Nicolas Todt is also Bourdais' manager!!!!

    Juls- haha! Absolutely!

As much of a score settler it would be for stats enthusiasts, I think its doubtful Schumi would jump into the cockpit again Kimi would no doubt veto it and with the size of the egos in this sport it would be a managerial nightmare..

Ferrari would do well to put Badoer in as according to reports, they seem to set to abandon this car and go full steam ahead into 2010 chassis development.

Ah- Here's hoping a speedy recovery to Felipe. I wish him well :-)

It would be the dream ticket, but I cant see it happening. He would certainly be able to help them develop the car though, handy thing with no testing.

And Firefox most of us know what the Schumi vs Hammy outcome would be! no contest ;-)

    Best wishes to Felipe.

Edit, Firefox have a look, Sir Niki agrees.

You're right Allan - Hammy would win .....no contest!! Gr8 call!! I thought all along that you were up for slating him off at any given opportunity, but I see now that after his control of Turkey and possible control of Germany we would see a battle royale with Shchum bag losing.....due to age, lack of fitness and time in cockpit!!!

    gR8 CALL!!
