I need to know a place in Oregon (Salem area, preferably) who will tattoo people under 18?
Your Question
Know any places in Salem, Oregon that will tattoo you if you're under 18?
I'm 16, and recently my cousin passed away after a long battle with lymphoma. We were very close, and have been best friends, basically brother and sister, since we were little kids. I want to get a small tattoo on my hip to commemorate him. I've been thinking about it for a while, and wanted to get it done while he was alive, but didn't get the chance. My dad approves, but in Oregon, you can't get a tattoo if you're under 18 even if you have parental approval. I'd be willing to travel outside of Salem, but I really just want this done :/
Please, I don't need to be lectured on how I'm too young to have a tattoo. I have friends with less sentimental tattoos, and I'd like to have mine done by a professional, and not just a barely trained stranger who happens to have a gun like most teenagers do.

It's not legal anywhere in Oregon. Sorry about your loss, but you really are too young. Even in states that allow for parents to sign, 99% of shops won't tattoo minors, it's just bad practice.

If you are under 18, a professional shop will not tattoo you. Even with consent from a parent or guardian, they will not tattoo you. It is against the law and it gives the shop a bad name and could possibly shut down the shop. Sorry, Dearie =(

Maybe Portland Org ?
In Canada if your under age.
The tattoo shops will accept a letter of consent from your parents.
Ask your mom or dad to go with you to the shop. if the shop see's
an adult with you when you go in, they usually accept that.
you say a small tattoo, you may have to go larger if there's s lot of detail. Don't go real small or people will be saying to you
""What's That"" is it a big mole ?
