Why are companies like AT&T blocking access to certain websites?

Currently they have blocked all access to any of their subscribers from accessing a website called 4chan without providing any reason or notice to their subscribers that they will now be filtering the web content their costumers can avail of.

The term you're looking for is CENSORSHIP. Its when a bunch of elites decide that the masses don't need to know or see something they do not approve of so they make is so that you don't have access to the material they don't want you to see.

The 1st Amendment counts for almost nothing in this country now since almost all forms of information transmission and media is owned by private companies and the 1st Amendment does not apply to private organizations it only applies to the government. Private organizations can pretty much censor anything they want.

We'll have to do like the Founding Fathers and circulate our own

paper, raise money for our own T.V. channel, radio station etc.

    Nothing works better than money.

Oh, I forgot, you can't make money in the U.S. anymore unless

it's from alcohol, sex, drugs, low rate entertainment or government.
