At what age are chihuahuas considered to be full grown?
I have a 3 1/2 month old Chihuahua. He is only 2lbs right now and still very tiny. I was wondering if anyone knows when he will be considered full grown. I am trying to figure out how big he will be.
His parents were only 5lbs each. So yes, he will be pretty small. Right now he fits in my hoodie pocket, so I was wondering how long it will take him to grow to his full size so I know about what size he will be.

Usually with toy breeds they reach their permanent height at 7-8 months of age , its pretty safe to say at that time they will stay that size.
But its said they can continue growing until they are a year old, usually its more out then up after 7-8 months.
Your larger breeds will grow up to a year old.
I have two Papillons and one Pomeranian they all reached their full height at 7 months. My mothers two chihuahuas stopped growing at 7 months as well.

Chihuahua are considered to be full grown at 6 months to a year of age. Have fun with your doggy. At their full grown size they usually weigh 4-6 pounds.

The age that any dog is considered an adult, or full grown, is one year old. But from my own personal experience, I say two years. That seems to be when they are fully developed emotionally and physically.

Most dogs are almost full grown by 1 yr and some will grow a bit more and Some won't. Usually by 2yrs they are not going to be any larger than they are then unless they gain weight.
