Anyone have any singing tips?
I love to sing, but I don't sound very good. I am young so I sound a little kidish. I know that doesn't make sense, but I don't know how to word it any other way. Anyone know any breathing or singing tips that will help me with my singing?

if you sound "kidish" then you need to work on ur tone...just remember tall vowels...record yourself singing and fix what you need to work on...breathing? i would try buzzing your lips while you do warm ups..it loosens up the face and is really great for breathing :) and to also help join a choir! you will learn so much!
here is a website for warm ups:

Well, the way I was taught was to practice low breaths; that is, breathing from the stomach. This is how natural breathing is done, and can generally make singing more comfortable for you, once you get used to it. Also, try to fill the room that you're in with your voice. This is sometimes called "Projecting your voice". On the sounding kid-ish note, if you are below the age of 13 to even up to 17, though that is a high bracket, then your voice may not have shifted due to puberty yet. This happens to everyone, though it is more prominent in males, since their voices generally drop farther than females. Hope this helps.

yes.
i am 12 and have had singing lessons for two years
it was just with a teacher but they help seriously!
but if you dont have the oppertunity or money or anything then here are my main tips:
- breathe from your diaphragm. its very improtant. put your hand on your stomach and breathe, and your tummy should go out, not your chest as its fillin with air . try this lying down,(its alot easier) and then try standing up.
-make sure your voice is in tune - try with a piano or something
- try to learn and instument ,it helps you when you ar siging ( i play piano and guitar - just about lol)
- practise, practise, practise!!!! in front of the mirror, and on your own to get those big loud notes :D
- build your confidence. try singing infront of people - dont be shy.
- dont strain your voice and only sing what you are capapble of
- do your best and enjoy it
so there we go! try all you can and belive you can you know? well im only twelve and i sang in front of 3000 people the other day and i was barely nervous i wasnt even shaking. so seriously ive done about ten major shows and after them, my confidence has grown so much seriously you dont know how much of a difference it makes!
so i hope i helped and i know i lectured a bit and must sound a bit patronising as im probly like the same age as you but i hope it makes you better! email me and let me know how your getting on ! lovegood_looney@yahoo.co.uk!
xx
