I need help to have the most expensive wedding event ever?
Okay, our class just got this project about our own dream wedding. Everyone else decided to go for the traditional and the sentimental type.
I chose to go for the best money can buy $$$
So here's where you guys come in: Assuming I'm the richest guy in the world who's about to get married to the girl of my dreams, what would be the best kind of wedding money can buy?
I've researched cars, honeymoons, wedding gowns, clothes, rings, receptions, invitations, flowers, etc. But I need your help just to widen my view on things.
And please no "It doesn't have to be expensive..." kind of answers. Its not anything real, just a dream wedding.
So please help :)
the more expensive and grand, the better :D let's waste money! haha (plays "lifestyles of the rich and famous")

Horse drawn carriages to take her and the bridesmaids to the church, and when you leave for your honeymoon instead of limousines. Fireworks display at the reception. a famous photographer. invitations printed in gold leaf, reception on a huge yacht. Exclusive guest list, guests flown in from all over the world on private planes. suites provided for out of town guests. Church should be a huge cathedral. Honeymoon on an exclusive island. At least 8 bridesmaids and groomsmen. Expensive gifts for the people participating.
I could go on, but I am getting ill thinking of how much work it would be to plan this wedding!!! You need to hire a wedding planner!!! lol

Find the most expensive and rare foods that you can pay to ship in. Since you'll have to have all kinds of guests have all different kinds of cuisine and expert chefs in each of those areas. Or select based on cooking methods, or ingredients. You will need a large cake with a lot of edible gold, perhaps edible flowers as well. Include a groomscake to add another elaborate cake to the mix. Remember that where you go will need to be decorated, so very expensive materials for covering the tables, napkins, napkin rings made out of something crazy, silverware, fine china, crystal for the glasses (and you'll need different kinds of glasses too), well provisioned bar, fireworks timed to music is a must. She will also need at least two dresses, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. You need people to play instruments or sing at the ceremony, and a live band (or two, maybe one plays traditional greek music, one another, etc.) and maybe also a dj. You need lighting for the venue and the dancing. Expensive favors. Try to ship exotic things in as much as possible to add to the cost. Ice sculptures. Don't forget about shoes, veil, maybe top hats for the men? Perhaps during the cocktail hour in addition to food and light music maybe also a famous magician, or other things to watch. Maybe the groom could arrive on a helicopter. The invitations should all be hand delivered by a group of people on horses or something.

Rent an island for the week and fly your guests to site as well as pay for the rooms. guests should have a gift upon arrival, maybe a bag with items for the area and a kindle with some books predownloaded.
Have activities every day for your guests (para-sailing, cocktail hours, scuba lessons, etc). Have a spa day for the wedding party and parents of the bride and groom.
If you have the ceremony and reception at an unusual location, you may have to ship in chairs, tables, bathrooms, kitchen equipment, etc. So think beach or park.
Food should be extravagant, and a 4 course min. Have a cocktail hour with passed ordure's. Think entrees like Kobe beef and lobster. Dessert should be one of the celebrity cakes (like Duff from the ace of cakes or sylvia from NY), Maybe some gold leaf on the cake. Large sugar sculptures would be dramatic as well.
Have entertainment at the reception, band, dancers, cigar bar, etc.
Give a Ipod with songs that remind you of your significant other downloaded on it as the wedding favor.
the more you take care of your guests, the more extravagant and expensive your wedding will be.

A destination wedding... where you personally fly over 400 people out to witness it. That will rack up the cash!
What about live animals? A dove release. Your bride could ride up on a horse-drawn carriage completely littered with roses and flowers and you could ride up on a white horse, also littered with roses and flowers.
Ceremony decorations... an archway to stand under, maybe a raised stage, again, completely covered in flowers. A personalized monogram aisle runner.
For the reception, somewhere HUGE. Maybe even fly everyone out to Europe and rent a real castle with an expansive english garden. If you're looking to spend a ton of hypothetical cash, the possibilities are ENDLESS!

Have it in a large country BnB or a chalet or a really fancy mansion.
Have loads of flowers, all different kinds. Chocolate fountains. Lots and lots of pretty fairy lights.
Music wise have a symphony orchestra :) with violins and the like.
A couple of years ago Oprah gave away a million dollar wedding, it was like something from a fairytale.. as if you can't find any pictures of that to inspire you..
*the bride wore a Vera Wang dress. she only makes 5 a year....
here was their cake

other things you could include:
doves
fireworks!!
of course a very flashy honeymoon to a 6 star resort somewhere nice and tropical

Research about the wedding of Vanisha Mittal, a billionaire's daughter who, in 2004, held the record (and still holding this record) of having the most expensive wedding in the whole world. Her wedding was held in various parts in and around Paris, for about a week, spending about 78 million US dollars for all of it.
However, don't just follow her wedding... beat it! :-D Have a wedding reception in each country...or invite all the leaders of all countries in the whole world! Have your wedding cake designed not just by one expensive cake designer/baker... get all the world's best and have lots of cakes. Hire all the most expensive gown designers. If you want your wedding celebration to last a week, have your bride wear a different gown to wear in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening, making her wear 3 different gowns every day... 21 expensive gowns in a week? As wedding favors: luxury cars? Oh boy, sky's the limit!
One final suggestion though: don't forget the underprivileged people of the world: the homeless, orphans, widows, the hungry people, etc. Share with them your blessings on your very special day. Invite them to your feast of the world's most delicious foods, but don't forget to provide them transportation and proper attire/makeover to the event, so they won't feel inadequate to attend.

To have the most "expensive wedding ever"... you'd have to top the $60 million that Vanisha Mittal and Amit Bhatia spent... and in all honesty, I admit to liking nice things and all... but I could NEVER spend $60 million on a freakin' wedding. lol.
