Why is the President spending so much money to push a broken healthcare bill?

The president gives speech after speech talking about how the Legal Citizens of this country have had to cut back on spending as a result of tough economic times. However, it has had no impact on the spending of his administration. The President is going to spend 100's of thousands of dollars to travel to two states in order to encourage the Legal Citizens to support a failed healthcare plan that the country can't afford. Why isn't he leading by example and simply holding a video conference town hall meeting?

Update:

raj....you didn't answer the question except to admit that the plan is bad. Plus, where is the money going to come from to pay for this plan...raising taxes on some is not the Answer nor the American way.

Update 2:

Lincoln, you have completely missed it. The system here works. If someone shows up at an ER they get treated, they are not left on the street just to die.

If you are saying that other countries have better healthcare providers, where is your proof. Every single day people from other countries come to the US for quality healthcare that they can't get in their own countries...why is that if the other systems are so well administered?

Because with the present system, you can get better health care for less money in Cuba. Are you proud of the fact that America is rated 37th in health care throughout the world while being the most expensive?
