How many violation notices ?

We get a lot of violation here in the politics section. I appeal if I think it is bogus. You may want to appeal and say it looks ike you are getting a violation attack. If you think you know who it is. Then block that user. I have noticed that some users seem invincible to violations. they post some pretty hateful spam that stays up.

If you have been on boards a long time they are less likely to suspend you. You should appeal. You may also want to take a quick look at the quiz Y/A put together to help identify what is and is not a violation.

If you take a look at the link below you can read it. some of the things rtermed violations are pretty mild, but I find reviewing periodically keeps my violation notices down

last week for asking for prayers--it was a question. I blocked the only person who said that they thought it was a violation and had other users assure me that it was not. I read over the part about solicitation which was clearly framed to rule out people who are selling something and appealed and was denied. I pointed out that i had not profit motive. Just FYI I would never have reported anyone for asking a question about Darwinism or athieism, or any other group. I have given best answer to a wiccan on one of my questions and a Muslim, becuase they clearly had the best answer. I support the right of anyone here to ask a respectful question from thier point of view. I am saddened to read what others here have been reported for it seems mean spirited. I thought with the new warnings about reporting too much or frivolously people could get in trouble and it would stop some of this. But apparently not.

Oh my gosh thats so horrible! I don't think it's around 20-30, I swear I've had almost 100 now. I think it's if you get violations over and over again - I really dont know. On my profile I have message me before adding me and that has definitely cut down the amount of violations I get. I've had just one in around two months. Make a back-up account just in case though and appeal! Good luck!

They don't really say. But every violation should be appealed giving exact reasons under the comments section as to why you answer or question is not a violation. I won one of 4 appeals and I had plenty of violations. One important thing about not getting violated is to open your answer with a yes, no, not sure, I agree or I disagree and always give the reason why. Good Luck NO TO CENSORSHIP !

it really depends on the sevarity of the violation. If you appeal and they actually LOOK at it then it will be returned and no action taken against your account. I think they only do it if you continually do the same thing over and over thats obviously wrong

Oh i have no doubt that its some idiot kids doing it, or some answwer you put someone didnt like. Dont let it bug ya.

I've gotten 3 accounts suspended before. I've been here since December, 2007.

I don't know what ot tell you other than don't let any one look the questions you have answered. I have had a question deleted that I did not even ask just answered.

So now no one can look at my profile are add me to their contacts. Now I have lost ten points for asking a political question that made some people angry.

I had the exact same things happen! Only I had two in a row and they suspended my account! And my posts were not in violation of anything!

Yahoo Q&A staff are goofs.

Judie, you have to find someway, somehow to report this. It is a good thing to ask here. A lot of these guys are very knowledgeable, on things like this.

I dont know how many violation notices, but I had this account suspended and I appealed to yahoo, and won, And they reactivated my account.

It took about 3 days for them to reactivate for me
