WHY IS EVOLUTION CALLED A THEORY WHEN IT IS IT NOT A THEORY?

If you mean that it's not a theory because it doesn't have valid experimentation on its hypothesis to support it, you are correct. It is not qualified to be called a theory.

Perhaps people call it that because they don't want to believe in God or that He created.

We never see any creatures evolving into a more complex, different kind. Evolution of this sort (macroevolution) has never once been observed.

Variation within kinds which we do observe (microevolution) is not the same as macroevolution, and the former has never been demonstrated to lead to the latter.

Science deals with what you can see, observe, record, test, repeat, etc.

Evolution (macro) can not be demonstrated or supported with the scientific method. The current atomic theory can; the theory of gravity can; but evolution can’t. How many experiments do you know of that demonstrate amoeba-to-man evolution? None.

Evolution (macro) has never been seen, repeated, recorded, etc., so it is neither a scientific theory nor even a scientific idea. It's a conjecture, an unsupported leap of faith, and worse: a lie, since God already said how He made things.

When people say the word "evolution" they mean one of two things.

First, there is the *process of evolution*. This is just the observed *FACT* that species change over time. (That is the definition of the word 'evolution' ... change over time.)

And then there is the *theory of evolution*. This is the explanation for WHY evolution occurs, and what its consequences are. And when we say it is a 'theory', that does NOT mean that we have doubts about whether evolution occurs. Again, it is not the question of *whether* evolution occurs, but WHY.

It is the same as the idea that the word 'gravity' is both a fact AND a theory. The FACT of gravity is the observation that things fall to the ground. The THEORY of gravity is the explanation for WHY things fall to the ground (a force that attracts all matter).

In exactly the same way, 'evolution' is the name for both a fact AND a theory. It is the name given to the *process* of change in species over time ... and it is the explanation for *why* that change occurs.

Find a book or a website or something about Wallace and Darwin... the two scientists who came across the whole evolution theory... It will tell you everything you need to know!

There is no evidence for evolution there is evidence for natural selection which is what some people including people who claim to be quite clever get confused about. To prove evolution you would need an uninterrupted sequence of sample of a species showing the changes that have evolved. As an example if there are brown and white animals on the arctic ice and they are both hunted by predators eventually the brown ones who can be seen from miles away will disappear and only white ones will be left. If there were humans who could run fast and humans who couldn't competing for food the ones who could run fast would eventually outnumber the slow ones who would die out as they wouldn't get to any food. Natural selection NOT evolution.

It is a selective self referencing tautology.

ie it uses its own tenets to prove itself.

Its worse than useless.

It does bamboozle the gullible and the unwary who are not half as clever as they believe themselves to be.
